May I know which gate is for high school ?

What is the best time (least crowded and yet not to early or late) to drop the kids off at that gate? ๐Ÿ˜‚

For RGS, those gotten CO, what is the minimum PSLE T score?

this FAQ question had been asked several times before, in the forum.

answer is 188 : to enter RGS Secondary, with a CO

refer official reply from MOE, point #3, below.

3 The DSA student must achieve a PSLE result that allows him to be admitted into a course (e.g. Express course) offered by the DSA school.

As such, the lowest PSLE score that a student being admitted to RI or RGS must achieve is 188 .

Does that mean that DC has to meet the minimum cut-off for IP in order to go into the IP course, else he/she will end up in the O level track?

if CO it will be as long as grades allow you to enter express (ie 200 abv). For WL1 or WL2, i guess they will look at score ultimately, vacancies available and your choices during option.

DS and classmates got WL last year but was converted to CO upon collection of PSLE results.

If 2 boys (WL) put HCI as 1st choice in their DSA option form, is their WL conversion dependent on ranking within the WL, or PSLE Tscore, or both?

      Eg :
      Child A on WL1, PSLE Tscore 255
      Vs
      Child B on WL2, PSLE Tscore 260

From what I understand, as long as your DC's T-score meets the minimum requirement for express stream, the one on WL1 will have a higher priority than WL2 in getting converted to CO when there is a vacancy. As such, Tscore is not taken into consideration. Whether a WL gets converted to CO depends on how high up is your DC ranked in the WL and if he chooses HCI as his first choice.

I really like HCI's consortium systems. The boys seems to know their consortium cohort quite well after a year or two. They are guided by the same consortium committee, taught by the pool of consortium teachers, this way, the teachers will know the boys better. The consortium will have year-end dinner, outings etc, and they even have their own consortium lounge or something like that!

Agree totally with Song22! It's like they have a big extended family outside of their own class! :rahrah:

[/quote]My DS and I also like the consortium idea. We find that it allows the teachers to know the kids better and guide them more effectively, whether socially or academically.
May I know how are the teachers assigned to each consortium? Is it base on like those better in a certain subject will get the best teacher in that subject or randomly?

:congrats: to all DC who have gotten a CO or WL.

Even your DC didn't get, please don't be dismay.
DSA or not, there's no guarantee that your DC will have a smooth-sailing journey.
I think as long as your DC chooses his/her school with open-eyes, he/she will feel happier and more compelled to make it work.
I hope my DS will choose wisely among the COs he gets.
Good luck to the PSLE! :grphug:

      Children,

if you are reading this thread, just believe in yourself, your parents and teachers.
Regardless of whether you get a co/WL/nothing, MS or GEP, just work hard for PSLE as itโ€™s a prove of your
own perverance and a test of your own limits.

All the best to you and your parents
