      On the topic of "game addiction". Try imagining that your are doing your favorite activity (maybe watching a K drama) and someone changes the channel.


      A lot of it has to do with closure. Although as parents, our form of seeking closure is "2 hours is up, Stop.", closure for the kids is different. It could be to finish building this particular structure, or finish exploring a particular dungeon.

      While I think it’s important to moderate, and control, be careful not to go too far. I’ve seen many young people now, living with restrictions and prohibitions to the point that they get stressed, or forget how to pursue their interests and passions as they grow up. On the other end of the spectrum, once parents release their control in their adulthood, they go full-blown addiction and don’t know how to control themselves, because they never learnt to control themselves.
