I think parent could not force kids to study, but should let them to be interested in china at first.

In the most recent chinese oral exam, my pri four girl did so badly for her chinese oral in conversation section.

Teacher asked her does she like to go shopping....When I asked her in English, her thoughts is perfect.

In actual chinese oral exam, she told the teacher she likes to go shopping but she is afraid to get lost in the crowd....I was jumping mad and asked her will she say such thing in english oral conversation, she said no...

Just wonder, how can I help her to improve this.Her reading was 10, pic was 8 and converation 2, so total 20/25.

u can try to talk chinese much more , but english.

My son is P5 next year. He has done very badly for his Chinese Exams 32/100 But fairly good for other subjects.

He unable to read & recognize the characters and forget everything the next day...
I'm puzzle why he can't understand Mandarin whereby we speak Mandarin fluently...? :roll: Currently, my son is attending Chinese enrichment classes.

Looking for great advise from parents, plz share your experience with me!

your son is clever, but chinese no language enviroment,so hard to study. most of my student just like your son. need a chinese tutor to help him.

I think story is the best way since p1 and p3 .

tell children many many story and see some children movie.
