Introduce something worth memorizing every day. Be it new words, numbers sequencing. Let them know they can and are improving. When people see results, they keep going.

I bought Chinese books that has reading cards, read and ask them to repeat till they recognise the words. Subsequently she is able to read the whole book. Is this kind of learning the old fashioned way? But not bad for a girl who resisted Chinese. Hehe.

Hehe… I have a helper engaged primarily to take care of my 4yo but she’s home for this dec for her end of year holiday. My thoughts so far: I like the privacy I enjoy alone at home. Doing housework is not much of a problem. The major inconvenience is having to plan and cook meals (& washing up). As a result after a few days we began to eat outside and each meal ranges from $20-$60. I think I have probably spent half her salary in this 10 odd days. Maybe I should get a thermomix to do more one pot meal… haha.
