Hi,
Just want to ask what should i look out for when buying such books? Must have explanations, usage (造句), illustrations etc as a basis but what else on top? Are the marking system the same as before where teachers give marks to usage of 成语? I’ve glanced around the forum and found that not much parents focus on this anymore, but rather more on hypy? Anybody still let their children memorise and use the stipulated idioms? Thanks…

RE: P1 Chinese - General Discussion
Hi, was confused by the changes in the chinese syllabus…
I thought MOE’S focusing on HYPY?
But schools stop emphasing it after term 2 is it?
So will it affect the child if HYPY’S lousy, as in for PSLE?
Do they still have specific character list that they die die must know one?
If so, can anyone please tell me so i can start drilling?..
Also, are there any good methods to teach children chinese?
She absolutely wouldnt speak chinese…
Relies on HYPY but cant recognise the characters/meaning…
Help help please!
