Have all your kiddos (who are expected to receive) already received their edusave certs or letter?
My DD did ok for her exams and received last year but she is still hopeful she will receive.

Yes, my P5 just received the Edusave Scholarship letter this week although the letter was dated 30 Nov 2021. You may want to wait till next week or call up MOE to check. All the best!

Just noticed the massive popularity of Northland and Rulang ( oversubscribed by 100+ registrants :yikes: )

Any particular reasons for thier popularity? Or it mainly geographical reasons? If so, surely it's time to open / move more schools in those areas.....

Rulang is the best school in Jurong area. It has all along been difficult to enrol in the school, esp after the school produced the top PSLE scorer few years ago. Its popularity has nothing to do with geography.

    • RE: LCentral Discussion

Hi, my child has also completed the liftoff program a few months ago and she is 6 years old this year. Initially I also couldnt understand why my child has to attend preprimary program while others who are older can progress straight to Success 1/2. I spoke to the staff and was given the assurance that the whole program is still ability based. If your child is good, the teacher will recommend him/her to the right program. And the staff is right. After 3 months, my child is recommended by the teacher to go to Success 1 and she is only K2 this year.

I think it is better for the teacher to assess and recommend, rather than to insist that your child progresses to the same level as others. Students in the same program can have varying standards too. Personally I prefer to ensure the right foundation is giveb before moving up.
