good job. as complete as previous years' newspaper.

So, it does not make sense for MOE choosing not to disclose this kind of information. Hopefully, MOE will disclose all this, but without the names of the students.

I admit I am a Kiasu parent. It is also wonderful to see the kids in these schools got such wonderful PSLE grades. However, I do not think it makes much sense to focus only on the toppest score of the school. After all, the toppest score is more of a confirmation of the individual kid's effort than the school's overall effort. It's the total numbers of kids that scored up 260+, 250+ that reflect the standard of the school.

Hi, anyone knows the cut off marks for EESIS award for this year? It is usually given to the top 3% and think last year is 260.

I just started a new thread on this here - http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=45998

If parents could help fill in the scores we will be able to find out the EESIS COP this year.

Hi, Whether your kids is eligible for EESIS scholarship has been indicated in the letter given to them yesterday.
my daughter got it with aggregate score 262. I guess the cut-off is 260.

from this thread i m seeing 3 students with 285. 1 from south view, one from ny and one from nh.

Judging from the feedback in this thread, the toppest scores in most schools lie below 280. therefore, I guess the cut-off for most schools will be quite similar to that of last year.

I will take that as the guideline for my daughter's secondary school selection.

think many kids score 285. Easy paper this year compare to last year. Next year will be a tough one again.

Do not think next year's PSLE papers will be very difficult. After so many complaints about the PSLE, I guess MOE will give a mild guideline on
      the difficulty level.

Anyway, it must be well prepared, and some mocking papers with reasonably difficult questions are still necessary for the kids to master
      the concepts and skills.

PSLE is tough, but better than none. Without PSLE, the good schools will be
only for those rich and priveledged.

hi, mdrafiq777, only the Chinese SAP schools, such as Nanyang, Hwa Chong, River Valley consider the extra scores for HMT. Usually, the cut-off indicated by this schools have already included the scores for HMT, i.e, cut-off=aggregate score + HMT scores.

how many children got 285 this year?

Parents, please try to indicate the school when you provide the score. This will help us to draw a more accurate picture in the end.

Please also do not discuss whether they are immigrants or not. I do not think common people really care about it. at least, our kids do not care.

      I admit, I am China-born immigrant.

Kind_soul, 244 is good result, especially for boys.

I do hope parents can share the top scores in their school too, so that we can
gauge the cut-off for the children’s ideal schools.
