I did not know about Primary School. But I attended an Special School's open house last week, seems like the school is teaching more to the kids (science). Its good in a sense, but I don't know if my son can handle and if not what other special school can he goes to except for MINDS.

Cos from the reviews about MINDS, they teaches mostly of living skills like how to take care of themselves.

Sighz.....lost...why is there so limited information about special school and limited special school in singapore.

Yes, they were able to identify a category of school but as parent we would like to know more about the school in order to make a decision.

Besides, they may not necessary make the best decision for us as they only meet our child for 2 hours (the most) and if the child is not in his/her best mood, the educational psychologist not see the potential of the child at all.

Long time din log on to this site.

Juz received my son's psychological assessment report, but the result was not unspecified Intellectual Disability. Does any have any experience in this?

I was aiming to put him into Grace School in Jurong west but wonder if he will get in using this psychological assessment. Any one has kids going to this school?

My boy is diagnoised with GDD when he is 18mths, is in Feiyue Centre. He is 5 years 6 mths now.

He used to be doing some bb talk which we dun seems to be able to understand. But after going for a oral therapy, he is now more verbal. He is able to say some vowels like \"arrr\", \"woo\", \"i want\", \"mama\", \"errrr\" and \"eyes\".

He can understand our language and instructions but when come to studying, dun think he can. He can do picture matching but not able draw or write. Still on scribbling stage. Colouring also not very gd.

Sighz....sometimes really hope he can do more. M doing more folder task for him now, cos worksheet he is not really into it. Hope he can proceed to worksheet soon. I will wonder at time is it he is not keen in studying or he cant......He gets tired easily, and like to lie down.

Anyone have similar experience please share, how you help your kids.

Can i know for pri 1 and pri 2, the school hours are fixed? 12.35pm - 6.30pm? (except for wed is 1.15pm - 6.30pm?) since there are no complusory CCA.

Will there be enrichment lesson they need to attend?

Single session is what kind of timing?

are u staying at Jurong west area?
