I signed up pv for rosyth pri and got a call from them for an interview. Does that means I am accepted to the pv program?
Can somebody share their experiences and what are they going to ask?

oh so sad, so if living within 1km, the only chance is thru phrase 2C rite.
err... Littlefire, I think I read somewhere in the threads that that is NOT possible...Littlefire:
hi ChiefKiasu,
Thanks, i had read this thread already. maybe i wasnt clear. i was trying to ask if anyone with smiliar situation, ie. school not in the same GRC as resident address but went thru the GRL directions could give me some advice.
and if balloting is required for <1km, does that mean all the parents in phrase 2C needs to ballot or also subject to the school decision to pick who has to ballot? -

RE: [Serangoon] Primary Schools
Littlefire, I wrote in to 4 schools for PV application and finally only get selected in one. That's why I always encourage PV-to-bes to write in to a few schools at the same time as back-up plans.
guess i was too focus in trying to get a place in Rosyth cos its the nearest to my place. -

congrats, hnklly, so sad i wasnt selected for the pv. they are so secretive abt the selection. I am also a homemaker, somemore living within 1km from the school. Guess, i am just not lucky enough.I think they are looking for those parents who can really commit the hours, their requirements is 60 to 70 hours, for those who can contribute in very specialised area will be welcome too eg. webpage design, able to teach students in specified areas etc.
Above are my own feel and opinions, guess the main reason I am selected is because I am a homemaker and there are people to take care of my kids when I am away.

RE: Mummy Littlefire says hello
i agreed that it really depends on the cc curriculum. ds has been to 3 different cc already, his current cc seems to have more activities, discipline and more systematic except for what buds mentioned.
i totally agreed with what buds says on this,
\"Meaning your child gets the academics required for the
3hrs in kindergarten, but yet goes home gets nutritious
home cooked food (not with subsidised portions of meat,
chicken and everything yummy), guided-play with parent
or caregiver (not free play), rest-time in own comfy bed
(not on a PVC mattress on the childcare floor.... with so
many other children), get to reinforce with home-made
or bought materials with child on a one-to-one basis (not
in a large group and shared materials) and get spare $$$
to allot child for other of his interests\"
i have read Tamarind's blog, very informative indeed. -
