It's best to join the alumini to secure a place. Based on this year balloting, it seems even 2A2 may need balloting next year. So you may want to join the alumin to play safe.

Hi everybody. My boy will be primary one next year. I’m currently considering Nan Hua Primary as one of my choices. Can anyone share about the school teachers and the workload? With the new ruling of reserving 40 places for phase 2B and 2C, balloting may be required for popular schools under phase 2A2. If my child did not get into the school of his choice under phase 2A2, does it mean he will have to wait until phase 2C to try his luck again? I’m not a school volunteer thus able to apply under phase 2B. I’m currently in a dilema right now. Should I apply for the popular school and hope there is no balloting for 2A2 or just apply under Phase 2A2 for another school which is not that popular. At least guaranteed of a place under 2A2.
