    • RE: [Punggol] Primary Schools

We are 90% set on waterway primary school.

The principal’s message and vision for the school is inline with the type of values I’m trying to instill in my girl since young. She seems to be strong on values and character building. This is an important considering point for me.
I am very excited about this new school. I like the idea of how the school is just beside the waterway. I imagine there will be many opportunities for the school to organise activities or outdoor learning by the waterway. We drove pass the school today and construction is still on going. We can already tell the school compound will be really big and spacious. Another reason I like that it’s a new school is because everything is so new and what’s in the new plan would have taken into consideration what schools these days need to sufficiently cater to a large number of students in a few years time.
With new humble beginnings, I believe the teachers will be able to focus more on the smaller no. of students intake and will get to bond with their first batch of new pioneer students on a closer level.
All of the above are my personal opinions and thoughts.
Overall, I’ve a pretty good feeling about this up and coming school. I hope my intuition is not wrong. : )

    • RE: Criteria for a Good Childcare Centre

      hugeclaw:
hi insider, just a quick update on the case which has finally been settled. After all the drama, the cc has been given a warning letter by MCYS and has paid back my friend 1.5 mth of school fees. Thanks for all of your advice!

But i think this is besides the point. Refund or compensation is one matter...but did the school provide any report/ explanation after investigating into this matter? And how is the matter/ teacher-in-question being dealt with?

It is horrifying to know that our young off springs are at risks of (sexual/ physical/ verbal/ emotional) abuse in a childcare centres!

    • RE: [Hougang/Punggol/Sengkang] Preschools

I need to start enrolling my daughter (born in 2009) into a childcare centre starting Feb or Mar next year (2011) because my nanny just broke the news that she is 1-2 months pregnant. 😞

Does any one has any comments or recommendations for Learning Vision or My First Skool based on your personal experience?

      Thanks a lot!
