Hi!
I would like to recommend New Look’s 915 range (meant for 9 to 15 if im not wrong). I visited the store last year with my sister (who is 10) and we managed to get matching high low dresses (im 17). They have pretty nice clothing for this age range. We went to the one at somerset, and i know that the one at bugis doesnt have the 914 Range. Maybe you can check new look out? My sister also likes to shop at forever 21 in ion.

I had tuition all the way from pri school till sec 3. I chose to stop in sec 4 and still maintained my grades and GPA. I think its good for you to let your child see how secondary school subjects work out for her and then decide for herself if she need extra external help. The teachers in cedar are very approachable and should she require help, she can ask for consultation sessions after school.Dear all,

Glad to join with you all to Cedar IP.
Have you thought of any tuition for IP? I think for Sec one, it may be ok without tuition and let children learn independantly and with the notes provided in school.
Sec school life is very hectic as well.

White socks. Most sec ones will wear cedar socks which are high and thick. The older cedarians will wear white ankle socks. So long as the socks can be seen, it is ok.Hi there,
Any specification for socks? -
RE: Info on morning assembly time for various secondary school
Cedar starts to play the music for students to gather at the courtyard at around 7.20 AM. Morning assembly usually starts at 7.25AM. The national anthem plays at 7.30 AM and as we use a tap in machine to register attendance, any student who taps in at 7.30 AM (yes the seconds do actually count) or later is considered late.

RE: Travel: Taiwan - Taipei
Hi everyone,
Does anyone have recommendations and contact numbers for private drivers for a one-day tour around Yehliu, Jiufen, Shifen & Keelung? How much would it approximately cost for 8 adults (incl 2 seniors) and 2 children? Possible to fit all into one van?
Thanks for the help!

Hi ma'am,
It is not 2 days now. It is still 3 days as previous arrangement, except that trainings are on Tue, Thu and Fri/Sat. Initially it was to be Sat, but cos some of the girls don't want to train on weekend, he opened up Fri as another option.abachee:
Daranic,
What is there to complaint and write petition? In fact all the CCA regardless is it sport, UG, music or dance ensemble got their hectic schedule to fulfilled.
Cedar is very good and proud in their Track & Field team and Cross country are their niche CCA that help win them numerous National champion in respective division over the years.
I am not surprised at all for their hectic schedule in training.
You can either voice it out to the respective head of that CCA and tell them about your concern and ask your DD whether she still like to continue and be in her current CCA or not.
If you feel that her CCA is too time consuming for your child, you can drop out of tat CCA and transfer to another CCA where there is lesser time for your child to commit.
Dun worry about the CCA your daughter in and the amount of time she got to spend, the school culture and the teachers will ensure that all the students will be all rounded in their CCA and their studies and it's a good practice for the child to learn how to prioritise and juggle between the study and CCA time.
In fact, all schools involved in sport CCA usually have a very hectic schedule to face. And this is the reality in every school.
Btw, you should be more happier and contend that now your daughter have to commit 2 days of her CCA time compare to the original 3 days she have before.
I am NOT complaining about the hectic schedule. But rather the timing of the trainings. It used to on days when the school hours end at 3.15pm on most days. But now that trainings are on Tue, Thu and Fri/Sat, these few days are their short days, so they have to stay longer in school on almost all 5 days.
Just wanted to pop by and say that not everybody ends early on tuesdays, thursdays or fridays. In fact, if im not wrong, upper secondary ends late on tuesdays. The reason why cca cannot start early on thursdays and fridays is because of third language. It is hard to find a suitable day and time to please everyone. Even the trainer himself had his own schedules.
I was in a uniformed group, and also had to wait for CCA to start. This is a very common occurence especially if you choose to be in a track. Cedar's niche is in track and it is known they have the long hours of training. While waiting, your dd can finish up her work, attend consultation lessons etc.I think Cedar is already very reasonable as CCA hours are about 2 to 3 hours every session. Cedar locks up the doors by 7pm, and the auntie chases all of us out by 6.30PM. In other secondary schools, the school gate closes at 9PM etc.
As a secondary school student, it's pretty hard to go home early especially if you are in a sports cca. But its great fun, and prepares you for the even longer hours in JCs (where you probably dont get off before 9PM on days with CCA). So long your dd has good time management, uses the time wisely to do her work, when she gets home she can have her free leisure time.
If you really have concerns, I suggest you speak to the teachers directly instead as they will be in a better position to address your concerns.
Cheers! -

Cedar is very strong in all the ccas you've mentioned, especially if you are in school team and it is during competition period. If I'm not wrong, we clinched top for C div and B div in the annual track meet for schools. Choir and track and field are Cedar's strongest CCAs, but all our sports and performing arts are doing very well in their respective competitions. But I would encourage you to allow your dd to choose instead, so she will do her best in it as well. Learning to manage both schoolwork and cca is an essential skill, especially since JC CCAs end very late at night. I'm sure if your dd is unable to cope, there will be teachers and friends to help and advise her, especially during competition periods.
Competitive? All.ilovelaksa:
Hi jus wanna check. Which of these CCAs involves very heavy commitment of time in Cedar?
Netball
Badminton
Track and field
Dance
Choir
Handbell
Really apprec some feedbc. I was rather horrified when told that my dd's name was taken down for all of them.

Does the Sec one O level track student need a laptop? Can they wear track shoes to school and what colored rubber band is allowed?
I dont know if the sec ones this year needs laptops. They can wear track shoes so long they are at least 70% white and the other colors are school colors (namely blue and yellow). Please ask your dd to check with her teachers for more accurate info.
Blue, black, grey and yellow rubber bands are allowed -

What are the facilities in Cedar Girls ? Do they have a dance studio ?
We have sports halls (arena, ad astra, the cage and hall (hall has court facilities)), netball court, badminton court, 200m track, 400m track, band room, dance studios etc. So yes we do have a dance studio. Are you looking for anything else specific?
