i see alot of recommendations for ms felicia chin from useful tutor. it seems they are now at thomson. her slot all full. only her husband mr chin has limited vacancies. anyone has feedback on mr chin?

Would like to seek feedback about Cheng Ballet. My girl currently now there and I quite like the environment. The teacher very professional as well. However, my main concern is that they do not follow the standard international exams such as RAD or CSTD. They have their own internal exam starting at Grade 1. My concern is if my girl stay with them, will she be recognised by other schools if somehow she decide to switch or will she have a problem applying for DSA since DSA require CSTD or RAD as basic requirement?


Anyone can advise? I’m thinking very long already and still not sure if I should not risk it and let my girl go to a recognise certification instead…

I’m new to this post. My girl currently 7 yrs old and now she is in grade 1. She had completed a pre primary RAD exam. I am now thinking of changing her ballet school as i felt the current school lacks skills and exposure for students to acquire good technical skills in ballet. My girl is very interested in ballet and started since 4yrs old.


Currentlt i’m looking at Cheng Ballet and SBA. She did a trial in Cheng and we quite like the environment and teacher. Howver my only concern is that Cheng does not have RAD. SBA follows RAD but i have a feeling that the school is quite competitive and my girl might not get the necessary exposure. In additiin SBA requires the girls goes twice a week for her level. Cheng ballet does too but its more like encourage them to have 2 sessions and it starts at the next grade.

So now i in a dilemma… Would SBA be very taxing? I am concern it would affect my girl studies… if i go for Cheng and no certificatr, to what extent it would affect my girl in the future if she really develops a serious interest in ballet?

I’m wondering how do you all manage to get into the school. I’m staying more than 2Km away so i’m wondering do i need to do PV to get into Maris Stella? Any parents successful in getting in to MAris Stella and stay 2KM and not doing any PV, without ballot?

My son is born in 2006 and I’m interested to apply for PV in Rosyth. However, I stay in Yishun… Do they take distance into consideration for PV? Can I state in the application form that I will be moving to within 1km if selected for PV? Will this backfire instead?

By the way, does distance matter for PV? Do I state in the form that i will move to within 1KM if selected for PV?

I downloaded an application form from Henry Park Primary School and there’s a question which ask am i applying for PV in other schools as well. Am abit concern as wonder if this will affect my application…
