RE: North Vista Primary
The aptitude of the child, the home environment and the school are all vital to the child’s development. One could go to the best school and yet not succeed academically and similarly, a child could be in an average school and do very well indeed… To place the responsibility and thereby the blame solely on the school is disingenuous and an attempt at evading responsibility… IMO…

RE: North Vista Primary
why the interest in running the school down? esp since by your own admission u have transferred your girl out many years ago… sushigal… interesting to ponder upon the motivation… one reason I can think of is that the school need to not succeed in order that your decision to transfer your child out is validated? perhaps u can come out with other meaningful explanation… pls enlighten.

To Min_kecik,
Your post makes grim reading on a beautiful Saturday morning… I sense that you are saying that your son has somehow been liberated from NVPS and mediocrity. And therefore by extension those students still at NVPS needed salvation in the form of a new school?
Contrary to your experience, I find the school responsive and feedback channels open to parents. I like it that this school have ECA that most primary school do not provide, like school band and rugby. Also, I have given my son some tests papers from well known schools to assess his standard, he could do it with ease… Perhaps one bad experience should not tarnish the school as such. -

Thanks for the measured response… Very timely given the amount of negativism unleashed of late. Let’s be constructive and positive. Most of all, let’s be fair to the students, teachers and principle in our postings.

I can understand the frustration, are there ways to work around it though,!like bringing their own lunch?
My son is enjoying school life. This is half the battle won as far as we are concern. I will leave him to get his food, he has to learn.
Not defending the school, but how would u go about tackling the issue if the affected students cannot be interviewed? -

Thought of packing food for son too, do not think much about canteen food really… Perhaps a few days a week he can take canteen food but not everyday?
