Yes, I am an active alumnus cum not-so-active-anymore parent volunteer. If you want to register your girl in 2014 via phase 2A1, you need to apply to be an alumni member by 30 June 2013. The alumni is involved in almost every school events. Representatives from the exco will attend school events such as graduation ceremony, award-giving ceremony, concerts, sports day, national day celebration, teachers' day celebration, etc. We help out in organising major events such as dinner and dance, concerts, fund raising events, carnivals etc. We help to fund these events too. Thank you for your informative post. I am an old SCGS girl and am thinking of joining the alumni. Was wondering if it is true that one will need to have 2 referees who are existing members of the alumuni before joining?
