• RE: Singapore Chinese Girls School (Secondary)

      Hi All,

Does anyone know how many % of the vacancies for SCGS is allocated to their affiliated primary school students?
Does the school have many SCGS pri students enter the sec school?
My girl is not from SCGS pri but her PSLE COP (257) meets SCGS COP for IP/O level. I’m considering SCGS as one of the choice.

I realise SCGS is the only school that offers IP and O level with the same cut off point. 2019 both IP and O is at 252.
Any idea why? I thought usually IP will required higher COP than O level for those schools with dual track.

      Thanks!

    • RE: Cedar Girls Secondary School

      Hi all,

Are there parents who have girls travelling from the West (Clementi) to CGS?
How long does it take to reach in the morning peak hour?
Do you travel by MRT (EW line->Circle line->NE line), drop at Potong Pasir and walk 15 mins to school?

      Thanks!

    • RE: Past Year Exam Papers

Anyone have website to download 2016 exam/test papers for P3 from various schools? Seems many sites now only have 2016 papers for P6 but not all other levels. CA1 is coming and I remembered it doesn’t take so long to have the last previous year paper being uploaded. Now all seems to stop at 2015. It is now ban to stop uploading papers for free download?
hi any parents with DC going to P1 next year? Are we supposed to receive any info pack from the school before orientation on 15 nov? e.g. on class allocation, purchase of books/uniform etc

      anxious..

kboon, I have rec the letter from school on my girls' class and more information on the orientation. Have you rec yours?

Yes! My girl is going to 1B. How about yours? Any parents with DC going to the same class? 😄
Hi Kboon,
One of my twin girl is same as your girl...in 1B! Her elder sister will be in 1A.

Does anyone know during orientation to buy books and uniform, do they accept NETS or Credit card? Or only cash? Thinking if I need to withdraw so much cash on Sat to buy the books/uniform.

    • RE: 2014 P1 Registration Exercise for 2015 In-Take

Wohoo...2A2 registration closed. Final result for Nan Hua is out...afternoon 3 more people registered. All 16 of those within 2km no need ballot. I had escape the balloting and successfully enter Nan Hua.

Outside 2 km will need ballot. The admin told me all who registered are SC. 39 people balloting for 26 seats. 13 ex-students will be very sad that they cannot have their kid study in their old school....;(

lywong, so nice .... I stay within 1 KM of Nan Hua, but no way I am going to try under Phase 2 C (though that would be the first choice)... my heart cannot take the balloting

      winnie...me too..think i will have a premature death..

Me too! Especially coz I got twins all the more I want to avoid balloting. So either my pri or my hubby's pri school are our choice. Luckily both our pri sch still around. But Nan Hua this year is really tough..many 2A1 registered!

Winnie, so which school you are targeting now?
