May I know why is Alpensia resort favoured over the other resorts?

Alpensia is one of the new ski resort, not as big compared to
Yongpyeong (yp has more slopes for ski and sled,sight seeing Gondola up the mountain ). And I think Alpensia is not so difficult to go as compared to faraway n nicer ski resorts.
