Both schools that we were put in waitlist confirmed no vacancies. Hmmmm. All the best to those still in the run.

RE: All about Transferring to Other Primary Schools
Many thanks to all for your encouragement. We will cross our fingers and if not try again next year.
I wasn’t so affected by this transferring of school until my DS expressed his desire yesterday for a transfer. I asked him if it was because of his friend and he said no. Haizzzzzzz -
RE: All about Transferring to Other Primary Schools
My DS is currently in a neighbourhood school and getting restless. His teachers mentioned that the range of students differs quite vastly n my DS is advance in his learning n thus we wanted him to get into a more appropriate challenging and learning environment.
We have submitted our applications since May and no news at all. Despite trying to follow up with the schools, their replied have been not forthcoming. Very tough. My DS also in favour for a transfer where possible. -
RE: All about Transferring to Other Primary Schools
I hv put my DS in the wait list of 2 schools for P2. No news nothing. I called the schools and both remain uncommitted whereas his classmate was already offered a place in another school. What have I not been doing correctly? Any good advise?

If GY is yr 3rd choice n u hv a ready gotten into yr school of 2nd choice at ph 2c, near to yr Hse. Then stay in the school gotten at ph 2c. If ur kid doesn’t enjoy his p1 on the school, then transfer at end of p1. Cca can always be enrolled elsewhere not necessary from school.

RE: Guangyang Primary
The school offers higher Chinese from P1 and has variety of CCA which they screened suitable candidates in P1 to join. Those not selected can also join the CCA as long as interested expressed by child n/or parent. My DS was selected for Weiqi n as he is interested in Wushu, the teacher in charge gladly allowed my DS to join where he enjoyed himself very much in both CCAs.

RE: Guangyang Primary
My DS is in GYPS P1 this year as I was in a similar situation like you where we failed to obtain a place in ATPS. Fortunately my DS is enjoying his school very much, thanks to the good teachers, principal and vice principal. After 8 months in GYPS, I must say it might be a blessing in disguise that we did not get a place on ATPS.
