Thanks @Monster Mummy! That is good information for me. My girl is going to P3 in 2015, so I guess I will get further information from school also.

@Berriesnice - My daughter is currently in P2 and my understanding is that grading starts only after P2 final exams , implemented in P3. I bought the school books and socks from the store (found those cheap I guess, don't remember now ๐Ÿ™‚ ). But not all need to be purchased from there. Infact, when I enrolled my daughter, some of the books were not available in the store and I was asked to get them from Popular.
Try asking for a booklist, which has the price and then you can compare.

Shoes are just black and you can get them anywhere.

Hmm.. Thank you.. Will have to wait and watch. My daughter started local school only in P2, that too in second term. Still trying to figure out the education system here. Thanks a lot to the contributors.. it helps a lot! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks! Read some place that it is not based on all subjects and depends on the school.

      Hi,

So far, my daughter has liked the school. The teacher responds very quickly to any queries we may have. I havenโ€™t opted for any CCA as yet, as it is not mandatory for her. May be after my daughter settles down a bit.

That is all I have to offer. Hope this helps!

      Hi ,

My daughter is starting P2 in Townsville tomorrow. This was the school allotted to us by MOE. Any pointers about the school academics and co-curricular are highly appreciated.

Thanks a lot for your help.
      Best regards,
      MK
