Could anyone recommend a few Child care or Toddler Centres for Young children (1.5 to 5 years olds) in Tampines?

Go for PX850, the sound, features and overall construction is much better than PX150. (Only abit more monetarily, its worth it)

Always choose a piano with a piano teacher or a professional (if not evidently proficient) pianist or musician that you know personally. A 15 year old Made in Japan Kawai or Yamaha can very often trash any BRAND new Made in China or Indonesia pianos on any given occasion.

Oh no! What happened to my Gongshang Primary School? During my days (1990s)..Gongshang Primary was beyond any doubt one of the BEST and most Popular Primary Schools in Tampines (if not the whole east zone)!

From my own personal experience as a musician, music teacher and music school principal…it may not always be necessary to drill children with theory (unless they really have an interest or could excel in it without much pressure) It might be more essential to keep the interest of music learning (usually through instruments) strong through a commited teacher who him or herself is a passionate musician.


Take myself for an example, I had no interest in music theory as a young kid…probably returned everything to my piano teacher on the music theory part by the time I reached sec school…but I loved to play…and so I kept playing, memorizing pieces I liked and picking up new instruments until around 15 years old when I started to have an interest in composing. In order to progress further and deeper in my music compositions, I brushed up on my theory all over again in 1.5 years with the help of a fantastic piano teacher (who happen to play the drums as well.) Within that 1.5 years with her (I did grade 1 to grade 5 theory all over again) and achieved a high distinction in ABRSM Grade 5 theory.
