      Hi,
Anyone know the link for WhatsApp group for 2021 S1?

Welcome to RV! There aren't official chat groups as far as I know. Unless you know someone has already started a WA group unofficially.

I'd love to know if there's one for the 2020 Sec 1 cohort myself. 😂

Hi, I am deciding the sequence of choice

      - catholic high O level - 1 point below cop

      - nanhua - 2 points above cop

Travelling distance about the same, both are SAP.

      Anyone can share ur view?

Take Catholic High (O-level) better, because
at end of Sec 2 year-end streaming, you still have a second chance to go IP, if u desire.

if your son does well at end of Sec 2 and son is keen in IP, Principal will invite your son to do IP starting Sec 3 IP to join Eunoia JC

This EJC has improved rapidly so fast !

Years ago, when EJC first started off and occupied Mount Sinai temporary premises, not many students want to join IP (CHS / SCGS / St Nick) back then, because many students said \"brand new JC, no track record ...\"

But today Y2020, look what happen ?

      Eunoia JC admission intake -
Is the same for Science & Arts, as the other two : Victoria JC and National JC

      In other words,
As far as L1R5 is concerned,

Eunoia Junior College is on par, with Victoria Junior College & National Junior College, for A-level admission, both (Science & Arts) stream

EJC has done exceedingly well, to come thus far !

      Cut off point (L1R5) for

      a)

Eunoia JC (Science ) = Victoria JC (Science) = National JC (Science), all at 7 points

      b)

EJC (Arts) = VJC (Arts) = NJC (Arts), all at 8 points

In other words, 2 years later, at end of Sec 2 streaming, if u do well and decide to go straight up to A-level, bypass take O level National exam, u still have the last chance to do so.

Anyway, 7 points (Science stream), not easy to get, at O-level. So might as well grab the chance and go , if by then Principal give you the chance to go IP, at end of Sec 2

      If you choose Nan Hua,
if u want this type of opportunity at end of Sec 2, also don't have

      Eunoia JC

      Victoria JC

      https://sis.moe.gov.sg/SchoolDetails.aspx?schoolCode=0714

      National JC

      https://sis.moe.gov.sg/SchoolDetails.aspx?schoolCode=0701

      Hi Phtthp,

If I stay in Jurong, should I choose Nan Hua or CHS o level for the chance of IP in Sec 3? He is from NH PS

Hi, can share where to find 10 years cut off point?

I m looking for the following school
      1) RVHS
      2) CHS IP
      3) ACSI IP
      4) NJC
      5) ACSI O
      6) NHHS
      7)BPGS
      😎 Fairfield

      Thanks first

There are some of the ones you are looking for in the following link. There were some changes with the DSA intake a few years ago so I think people generally trust the recent data more (I think the intro of various IP programmes may have changed things too but this should not matter for the last few years).

Caveat is that all of these COPs can change for reasons that don't seem obvious (or at least obviously predictable ahead of time).

Hi, need opinion on the schools being rank as below orders is it risky for score 246 + 3 ? Thanks

      1) Anglican High
      Or 2) Dunman High
      2) Chung Cheng High
      3) Dunman High
      Or 3) Temasek JC
      4) Temasek JC
      5) St Anonthy Cannosian Sec
      6) Paya Lebar Methodist

i think dunman high is risky. their cop is like 255, and even though it's a SAP school and your hcl points will be added (246 + 3 = 249) and 255 is kind of far from 249. and their cop has never dropped below 250 (for the past 13 years)
      Dunman High's COP*
      2021 -
      2020 - 255 (-6)
      2019 - 256 (-4)
      2018 - 255 (-7)
      2017 - 257 (-5)
      2016 - 258 (-4)
      2015 - 253 (-5)
      2014 - 256 (-2)
      2013 - 256 (-6)
      2012 - 256 (-4)
      2011 - 257 (-3)
      2010 - 258 (-3)
      2009 - 260 (-3)
      2008 - 260 (-4)
      2007 - 258 (-4)

it's usually 255+, so i dont think you can get into dunman high with 249. but if you really want to go there, then just put it there. 🙂

the others should be okay! all the best 🙂

Hi Hendon, thanks for the reply. I didnt know much on the other school. I only have a friend DD comment on this. I will check out more on SJI.
I prefer no O-Level, but ok with A-level or IB.
If need O-level, want to find the school can have affliated JC.

If affiliation to JC is important, I would pick VS over ACS O or CHS O for its affiliation to VJC,
      location notwithstanding.

Thanks. But VJC is really too far

      Thinking the choices as below
      1) RVHS 253
      2) Catholic high IP 252
      3) ACS I O level 252
      4) SJI IB 251
      5) Catholic high O level 249
      6) Fairfield 243
      Or Nan Hua high 246

Considering No O-level, distance from Jurong, affiliation with JC, reputation of school.

      Any advice?

      not considering SJI IP?

Heard SJI IP teacher and culture not good. Any comments?

And you didn’t hear any negatives about any of the other schools in your list. I think you need to be open about it. Seems a pity given the score and the possibility. Of course if you definitely want the A level route then no need to consider[/quote]Hi Hendon, thanks for the reply. I didnt know much on the other school. I only have a friend DD comment on this.
