Recently, I heard that the school cancelled the annual cross country because the kids don’t like. I thought the school should encourage kids to exercise more than follow to their wish and slack. Today, when I check the Life of a Marist page, I was surprised that they have a cross country team and the team actually won some awards. I guess this might be the only school with a school team but don’t have the annual event. Any comments from parent here?

I think last year was 236.

Not necessary to have higher Chinese but if you do, I believe can offset 1 or 2 points. I hope I’m not wrong but some other may advise you here too.

The PTM session was very well managed even though the whole school was there. The allocation map and seat arrangements were near perfect.

All the teachers were given a list of feedback from another subject teacher so it was convenient for the parent unless you want to ask more specific questions.

      I just finished the PTM.

It was held in the classroom.
The form teacher, co-form teacher and English teacher will be there.
      Everything was good.
Hoping for better result next term.
All the best to all and happy holiday.

      MMM:
Actually the class exco are supposed to help with the queue system as that is what my ds was tasked to do during the last PTM.

While it is not compulsory to attend this time round, I will choose to go to understand more on the behaviourial aspect and also for weaker subjects, understand more from the teachers how can we help.

I personally found the last PTM beneficial for us. ds was in lala land in term 1 and did badly for CA. Suspect having CA during CNY period is really bad and a watch out for future years. FT asked him to do a reflection and we discussed about it with him during PTM. We also spoke to different teachers who gave us very good and candid feedback in ds's presence. Through the feedback, we thought we have to do something with his seating arrangement and worked with FT to make that happen.

So it's good to see significant improvement for all subjects for SA1 and some subjects scoring above class average. Some measures worked and it was also a feeling of phew... he finally wake up and is doing up to standard now. So yes, would love to speak to the teachers again.
During 1st PTM, most of the class exco were playing and running around. They kept 1 list and the teacher kept another. Best is to get into the teacher list. Each subject teacher also have a list.

Great to hear that your ds improved. All the best.

      Sexyviper:
      Hi parents,

Anyone going for the PTM next week? Those who have been to PTM after CA1, do you find it useful? Worth the time?

I missed the first round and will be away on biz trip next week. Wondering if I should change my flight to early morning so maybe I can still make it in the late afternoon.

      Thanks.
I went to the 1st PTM and it was badly arrange in terms of queue (they do not stick to the timing). Each teachers were seated at a desk without indication of class or the teacher name. It was difficult to find the form teachers. Even if you do, she can only advise you on her subject. It is useful if you go straight to the subject which your son didn't do well and ask for her feedback. Alternatively, you can call them and talk to them. Do note that only those who failed English and/or 3 subjects are compulsory to attend.
