I remembered that she got a music degree, specialised in piano performance. Most of all, my DD got distinction in Gr 7, Gr 8 and performance diploma ATCL under the teaching with her. I'm looking for a private piano teacher for my 5yo girl. She's currently in kawai on 1-1 basis. But, I find 30mins lesson too short and nothing much is achieved on a weekly basis.

I want my child to enjoy the lessons and if she progresses well, then examinations can be considered. But, foremost, it's more on enjoyment basis. I will hope for her to be able to play simple pieces by herself but as of now (after 6 mths lessons with Kawai), she's not played any full short pieces yet.

Am I being unrealistic on my expectations? ~_~

Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.
