My Daughter been diagnosed as Delay in Speech and language by KK. She was recommended to go for EIPIC. I went to KidsCove to take a look. But their programme seems more to be learning how to be functional and not much emphasis on speech. Any parents facing same diagnosis and did EIPIC really help? EIPIC seems to be for more serious case. I am so stressed. Also thinking whether to go kindy or full time childcare.

I am a Special Education Teacher at HeadStart for Life Pte Ltd. We provide clinical services exclusively to children (2 to 16 years old) in Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Skills Training, Play Therapy and Educational programmes (where I teach).
Based from what I understand about EIPIC programme, it addresses the child's needs holistically, which means it also includes programme for speech (by Speech Therapist). However, each institution might differ in the approaches they use.
In our centre, we do provide Speech Therapy services focusing mainly on speech and language development, on a one - to - one basis. Our focus is to develop the speech/language/articulation skills to improve the child's confidence and communication skills. We emphasize on parent training, which means we require your presence during therapy sessions. This is especially helpful for parents in order to track their child's progress and learn various strategies they can implement at home. Also, you will have equal opportunity to voice out your concerns regarding your child.
With regards to your concern, as to whether your child should go for childcare, it will depend on the needs of your child at the moment.
