Hi Imp75. Great to have this channel. Please suggest 'recycling' of ex-jc building for EJC as all are state properties after all. It's only fair and the wish of every taxpayer and yours too, as you had posted earlier. I am sure EJC kids will set good example to share the woes of others too and they will agree graciously. While the reasons regarding IP is acceptable, we don't see the necessity to build a new premises for the purpose. It may be different if ejc is an independent sch.

So what if the construction job is in progress or promises are being made to the 3 sec schs? The 4 merging jcs are also not honoured of their existing premises and 8 are even losing their names and heritage.

The new IP pupils should compromise to prove their worth.

The new premises of ejc is just a stone-throw from Bishan and all the popular schs. Housing prices will be beyond reach for the average family and affect its demographic balance. Srjc is the most centralised in location among the 4 vacanting jcs. We aren't short-changing ejc by suggesting it. However, if the premises is too small, ijc premises will be spacious enough as noted by many forummers. We are short of ip jc in the north anyway.

My dd din do well for her A level. She got CDD/C, GP-B, PW-A. She is applying NTU-Mass Comm, NUS-FASS and UNiSIM-Marketing with minor via NAA/DA. I'm actually thinking if she cannot manage to get any offer from these 3 U, I would suggest to work part time, continue her community service and retake her H2 n GP this year as private candidate.

If not I really can't think of any option. Any advise is appreciated. :thankyou:

Free dictionary states that vicious means spiteful. From vocabulary.com, spiteful means an act in a mean way with a desire to hurt someone. Other explanations are nasty, unfriendly & hurtful.

I only speak up for the party whom I feel has been put down (belittled/humiliated/embarassed) by you people. You should learn to be more diplomatic/graceful in your words to lift up others when you sell your ideas across, or else there will be cross-fires and more people will start using uncouth words in this forum.

Avg L1R5 9.2
About 70+ girls who scored raw 6 points. All these probably translate to 2 pointers because most of them get 4 bonus points.
About 27 girls with straight A1s in all subjects. (based on picture in school facebook). Of these about 2-3 are asean scholars. The rest are all Singaporeans.
Top cedarian is a Singaporean with 11 A1s in 1 sitting. (excluding MT taken last year).

Cedar - the 11 A1s is higher than St Nicholas' previous years' top students of 10 A1s (excluding MT taken year before), right?

Actually, SNGS is not the only secondary school that had top pupil(s) securing 10 A1s last year. The chinese papers hadn't got all the information available so it only featured SNGS & Nan Hua having pupils with those scores. My friend's dd from Paya Lebar MGS said last year their school also produced a 10A1s top pupil but nobody seems to know about it. It could be verified from their school website last year.
The popularity of a school is dependent on publicity and the help of reporters too.
