Heard that during the SMU tea session, there were many familiar jc faces but very few at NUS. Instead there were a number of caucasians and locals who spoke English with an accent.

Nus law school’s tea session was held on 14 May. Total intake around 250 including graduate students, shortlisted from 800+ and out of 3000 applications. Heard this year’s batch is very different, mainly from international schools and IB students.

Both NUS and SMU law schools have sent out letters of offer. Understand if potential students reject (prefer one over the other or decide to go overseas), places will then be offered to next batch of students. QS World ranking of universities for SMU law, econs is 101-150.

Correct me if I am wrong but I heard even those who get straight As plus excellent CCA records may not even be called up for interview, let alone a chance at the local univ for law faculty.


My understanding is that straight As are miminum criteria to study law. Any feedback will be appreciated.

Heard today’s H2 Math paper is very easy. Many students finished paper in two hours. Not sure if that’s good news cos likely last week paper will then determine grade if many do well today.
