1. Before playing, Samy had twice as many marbles as benjamin. After playing, samy lost 88 marbles and benjamin lost 24 marbles. As a result, samy had 4/7 as many marbles as benjamin. find the total number of marbles Samy and Benjamin had at first.

i only know the answer by guessing, but don’t know the way to find it. at first, samy had 104 marbles and benjamin had 52 marbles.

When Melvin puts additional $40 worth of $2 notes and 20 pieces of $5 notes into the box, the ratio becomes 5:7. Find the total value of the $2 and $5 notes in the box at the beginning.

3. June, Dylan and Luke had lunch together. June paid 1/4​ of the total amount paid by Dylan and Luke. Dylan paid 1/2​ of the total amount paid by June and Luke. If Luke paid $16 more than Dylan, what was the cost of the lunch?
