      MommyK:
The students Derbyshire are blessed. The principal (Ms Allison) from East Coast has transferred to Derbyshire. She is very popular at East Coast so the kids at Derbyshire are in good hands.

šŸ˜“ Quite disappointed when I got to know of this transfer via email from Nafa. I joined the Eastcoast one partly also hearing good reviews of Ms Allison as a responsible, hands on, often organizing events for the kids etc etc. Nevertheless, I still like their school curriculum.

Second day of school for my boy at pre-nursery group, and I quite like his teachers. The teachers are firm. They 'chase' all parents out from the class despite some of the kids are still crying for mummy. My boy is one of the crying kids. And when I try to peek from the windows, the teachers ask me not to peek as my boy will cry more if he sees me.
And true enough, 20 mins later, I heard silence no crying coming out from the classroom after all parents are \"chased\" away. :rahrah:
The remaining hours stayed peaceful haha.. Hopefully third day remains well *keeping fingers crossed*

Btw, does Nafa teaches violin as well on top of keyboard? Saw some year end concerts posted online and some students are playing violin.

In nafa kindergarten, they only learn keyboard. However, if the kids are interested or show musical talent, they have priority to enrol in Nafa School of young talent (SYT) course in the Nafa main campus in bencoolen. That will be like extra music class. They offer various instrument like violin, flute, piano and Chinese instruments. You can check out SYT info on Nafa website. The music courses are quite popular but they require lots of commitment from parents and child. The standard of SYT courses is also very high.

Current NAK students attending SYT will be given opportunities to perform at the year end concert every year. Of they only choose the best..... šŸ˜„

Had enrolled my son for PM session next year @ Derb. Hopefully he will like the school there.

      Hi zachyuan,

I will confirm by October if I will enrol daughter in Nafa @Derb. However, we are looking at am session. What level will your so be in next year? Mine will be K1 next year. šŸ™‚

      Hi Sam,

I think the one at Derbyshire offer those 2 weeks trial class if you are still
not confirm if the school is the right one for your little one? You may like to check it out :):)

I had just enrolled my boy for their pre-nursery class @ east coast starting next year. Hopefully I made the right choice!!! :):) I nearly enrolled my boy to the one @ Derbyshire after going for the open house. The principal is friendly, school is new and environment is nice. But a week after I went for the open house, I received an offer of vacancy from East Coast. Considering the logistic wise, I decided to go for the East coast one... :):)

Meanwhile, any reviews/comments since the last one made was quite long ago.

Hi! Have u gotten a vacancy in the PM slot or the AM slot? I'm also considering this school but so far not many reviews recently?

      Hi Coco79,

I got a vacancy in the PM slot. No luck in the AM one.
Haha I had tried asking again for the AM slot when I went down to register but the admin lady said it's already full.

Actually environment wise, I like the new school @ Derbyshire. And I think the one at Derbyshire offers speech and drama class while the one @ East coast doesn't. Nevertheless, I still like the all rounded curriculum that both NAFAs
      offers. šŸ˜„
