Oh I see… rumours again…

You know I also heard that the schools can’t be 100% full. There is a few vancancies left for emergencies, or case by case reviews. Is it true?

I believe they would update daily. They updated in Phase 2C registration exercise. Usually by 8pm.

This morning i visited 2 schools to be placed on waitlist. The 1st school said only mid Oct then they take in names for waitlist. As now all no vacancies. I asked politely then why my neighbour can apply to be on waitlist for \"so and so schs\" after phase 2C ends (which is true), the sch said this is their management decision.



2nd school i went also dun allowed waitlist. Tell me to starts sch in XX sch first then transfer out, as now no vacancy anyway. The waitlist for all levels are all full. The admin told me to go to their sch website to download a form, fill up then submit. And he said must inform XX sch now we wanna transfer. I said she yet to start sch only in 2019 then start p1. He said must ask if XX sch allowed the time lapse. What rubbish.

Since there is no specific \"waitlist\" thread to discuss, I post this here for help. Anyone encountered such closed doors too? Or the schools u asked to be placed on waitlist have a form for u to gladly fill up?

For my experience, I immediately went down to the school and placed my child on waitlist in a school that is nearby and in another that I was balloted out from. Both of these schools allowed but emphasized not to depend on this and to ensure my child is registered in a school first. They said chances are slim more likely in P.3 when they increase class size.
I tried a third school who insisted I call back in Nov to check if there are vancancies, as they don't practise waitlist system.
I called a second time sounding very anxious but they still insisted I call back in Nov.
I agree different schools have different system.

Sannz, that’s the most frustrating part!

If I am balloting for a popular school and got balloted out then probably serve me right, nothing to argue about… should more or less expected it.
But it is just a neighbourhood school for the convenience…
Now i am left with schools more than 2km away, so many logistical issues to think about.
And if i get balloted out again… i already don’t know what to do…

For 2C Sup do they allocate based on distance. If they do, then it is going to be very worrying because all the schools left are 2km away from my home.

Anyone in the same situation in Jurong?
