the school teachers and staff are great. In fact, the school is excellent except for the canteen food woes, which is why we hope to get Whizmeal in.

Your child can get to student care via bus. Student care teacher should fetch your child from the bus stop. Students have Pal on Wednesdays till 3.30pm so they have lunch in school as well. So far no extended hours at ALPS.

One of our fellow parents emailed the school and got a reply from the operations manager Mr Raja. He shared that there were 3 applicants earlier but none took up the stalls eventually. There is an interview for another applicant this Friday. Hopefully he/she will take up 1 stall.


I have been making bento daily for the past year. Otherwise, my son will only eat plain rice with 2 fishball n soup for recess daily if it is not sold out by the time of his purchase.

That’s why we hope that the school can implement this Whizmeal system and this requires the support of fellow parents. Supply will meet demand and our kids can get nutritional meals with the advisory support & an orderly system from Whizmeal.

My son is in 2 Optimism and a group of fellow parents from the class are very concerned about the lack of healthy food choices and long queues at the school canteen stalls. Currently there are only 2 stalls and the school has been facing difficulty getting stallholders. We learnt about Whizzmeal programme operating in another new school and made some enquiries. They require a minimum of 50 students to start the programme thus we are collating the details of parents who are interested before we approach the school. An existing stallholder has also expressed her willingness to consider this programme.
