phtthp:
For this, you need to call up the school your son interested in, ask when is the closing date for Transfer requests ?

Bec some schools accept request, whole year round.
But other schools accept request, latest by a certain month.
      Follow up, from there.

I see... I shall call them up tmr to check. Thank you πŸ™‚

Hi, has anyone apply for a transfer at the beginning of the year? DS came up to me today and checked if he can apply to another school as its affiliated to the school he wants to apply for secondary school. He's becoming a thinker now.. He's P5 for term starting tomorrow btw. Thank you πŸ™‚ :lovesite:
Just gotten 2 boxes of LongJiang yam moon cakes from Lot One today, parents commented that it was really good! Even the children enjoys it!

Tastes exactly like the ex crown prince's or-nee moon cakes! I guess it's because it's made by the original creator- Chef Wong as told by the salesgirls.

but poeny jade also claimed that they had hired the ex-crown prince chef :?

Exactly! I was confused too! They said Chef Wong is now with LongJiang Restaurant and may even get a glimpse of him at the restaurant at Commonwealth Avenue if drop by for lunch or dinner. Was further convinced by it when the taste explains everything cos I was a vivid supporter of crown prince's moon cakes many years ago, haha.

Glad that it's finally back. :boogie:
Just found the link : http://longjiangseafood.sg/ for some write up on the moon cakes. πŸ˜‰

I'm really glad to see that BTPS sent letter informing us the activities on orientation day and what's going to happen for the 1st week of school too! Eg, P5 buddy will be helping the P1s to ease into BTPS and what are the items to bring each day for first week!

So far, I feel very good about BTPS! :imcool:
I will take leave on Day 1 only - have 2 boys experiencing first day in their schools: #1 for Primary 1 and #2 for pre-nursery... so got to run between 2 venues!! How exciting. πŸ˜„

It's going to be a very exciting day for your #2 boy! Hope he will enjoy his first day of school! πŸ˜„

Thanks mintee! I hope so too! #2 is really all grown up now, sometimes even picking a book and pretending to read by himself, or breaking into song (haha!). I think he's more ready for school at 3, as compared to when he was 18 months when I tried to put him in a playgroup which didn't quite work out as he wasn't ready (physically - the travelling by bus and all the walking in the hot sun made him sick)!
3 is such a cute age! πŸ˜‰ I remembered how much DS cried when I sent him to playgroup when he was 18 months then! (lasted for 3 weeks!)
