    • RE: What TV do you watch?

I have cut down on viewing shows produced by mediacorp as the quality and content of shows have been reduced very drastically. Had tried to watch or support their new shows but could not bear any longer just watching since the first episode. What a shame! So now, practically my 9pm slot will turn of the TV and wait till 10pm to watch TVB drama or channel 5 shows like, ANTM, Project runway, CSI, Survivor, AI etc. shows of outsource.

The recent show "the pupil" actually not bad for the first two episodes , only can comment after watching the series.
Now, I have also watch 11pm show in channel 8 from Taiwan. I cannot believe myself !! :!:
In the past, I enjoyed local produced drama, but these recent years, I couldn’t take it anymore, the shows overall quality has dropped. My kids also couldn;t bear to watch but to watch other productions.

      Hi all of you, πŸ˜‰

Let us cheers :celebrate: :celebrate: :celebrate:
Cheers for our family and children.
      Cheers for our bright future
Cheers for our victories against \"hao lian\" people around us
Cheers for CNY and (you name it ) :celebrate: :celebrate:

Our future lays in our hands. Let us treat our future (which is our children) well. Treat them as a person, as an individual and with respect. (so that they will respect us in return :snuggles: )

Let us learn not to be affected by these \"hao lian\" people around us for we are not as shallow as them. For me, I love to look at them and laugh at them as if watching a real-life drama.

So, Let us \" GAN PEI \" :celebrate: :celebrate: :celebrate:

      Cheers :lovesite:

    • RE: How do you deal with arrogant/how lian people around you?

Wanna to share last year's experience. When my DD to decide whether to take HCL, she chose NO to HCL. As a mother, I was upset because all my friends' DD are taking HCL  My \"then\" thought was my DD is going to lose out to them if she does not want to pick up HCL! PLUS most of her classmates are taking!!! (BTW my DD is in a good school)

I couldn't accept that initially, but after talking to her I decided to respect her decision. Well, I tell you, my SIL's DD is taking HCL and they are putting remark like \" your girl chinese no good meh? \" and \"why?? you should push her to the very best\" ARRGGGhhhhhh :x I was then under attack by these comments and went through the stress.... I chose not to put accross my points to them for I knew that \"these\" people have no understanding and the thoughtfulness towards their children. I, on the other hand, I respect my DD's choice and hope that she is under good care πŸ™ for her upcoming PSLE. Personally, I am a mother who do not believe in tuition because tuition seems to cater for children who are academically handdicap. (no offence to those who have) My point is that children learn at them on pace and they are being taught well by school teachers. I remember once my son's teaher complained about my son's capability to read when he was just in K1. Do you know how I answered to the teacher?? My answer to her was :\" I've sent my son to school to learn and pick up skills, not going to school to display what he has learnt from home! If going to school is to display on what he has learnt from home, then all the schools should be terminated. Or may as well he don't attend school to pay premium school fees.\" And the teacher got my point and no more complains. Now, my son in primary school he excels in his studies. I told my children that all i want them to pick up knowledge and skills from teachers and friends, NOT in school to \"hao lian\" or showcase to people on what you already knew. At home, I just go through what they have learnt from school and assessment books for 1 hour only from monday to thursday and that it!! Both children are doing perfect work and cultivating good learning attitudes. To me this way, not only they love schools and studies, the most important is enjoying they are suppose to do. I don really want to stress my children as I have seen my experienced fellow friends had done that and the results were not as good as they wanted. It just simply backfired. I was stress when I was in school so I do know the pain. These pains do not gain any good gains. So, to me, enjoy life and enjoy what you are doing, don like it? then stop it. Now my son is picking up cello as he wants to learn so I let him, I love watch my children doing things which they enjoy learning! My DD is in a girls' school and she enjoys her everyday in school. She volunteered to teachers that I would like to stay for remedial even she does not need to do so. But I let her stayed for any remedial classes even she does not need to so. She told me she wants to learn and drill her teachers. πŸ˜‰

    • RE: Travel: Singapore - Universal Studio

I would only go when these conditions are met :

      1) when my children are tall enough for all those rides. (if not they would be disappointed when they get there and realised that they are either too young or too short for those rides.)
      2) only after their final examination.
      3) only when the period have lesser crowd.

Only when adults and kids are able to play those rides I would consider the ticket worth it. If not, to me it just another man-made theme park, nothing much to look forward to. 😎

To be honest, at times I also become "hao lian". What do I do? Well, usually before I display my "hao lian" act, there was a " hao lian" thought in my mind. When I realised that, I quickly swift my thought to "humble" and thus the "hao lian" act was not displayed. Anyway we do have many choices to react to these "hao lian" people, so don’t fret! I don even want to talk about my SIL. I have 2 to be precise. anyway, they are dumb and nothing good about them.

How do I react to those \"hao lian\" people? Well, with friends or relatives like these, I usually excused myself with a smile so that I could get out of their \"shallow talk-shows\" πŸ˜‰

In my opinion, these people are usually lack of self-confidence (therefore needed to boast their egoes), shallow (no wisdom), poor in those areas which they choose to \"hao lian\" and they are helpless. why? 'cos when they can grab anything to fill up their helpless, they are couldn't wait to tell the whole world on what they have or proub of. Basically, these people who are lack of self-confidence, self-esteem etc.

\"Hao Lian\" people can be anyone from poor to very rich people as long as they have areas of helplessness.

Wow, the video is really good! I am touched!!! 😒

Working women who giving up working or giving up to fat pay package to be transformed into a housewife should be highly honoured. They are in fact a champion builder, contribute to society and economic growth and advancement by nuturing a all-rounded personality and character into this country's future. With knowledge, love, forgiving and acceptance in education and naturing our young ones (not pampering !!) I see bright future for our country. and therefore in due time, we do not need foreign workers to fill up any job/position opening.
