RE: Maid wants to go back - can we bring back to agency?
Sending my 8mth Myanmar helper back because she said she needed a vit n glucose jab to stay strong.
She said her body is weak now and she take the jab every 3 to 4mths. She said shes having 2 headaches every week… , stomach pain n joint pain.
Shes vvv stubborn. Whenever she makes mistakes she just say no not her or no mam never say…
Uses forget, i dunno to get away with things. Even after 5 mths with us, she still cannot remember what time sch bus arrives. -

Painful indeed. Piecing all the stories together, its like a plot. Shes got no passion.
Very tired looking for new helper -
RE: Myanmar maids
I feel a need to share this potential employer hiring Myanmar maids.
Im a new employer, first timer and i hired a fresh Myanmar maid with thoughts that they are like a fresh white page. Probably easier to teach.
Her name is pa pa win. Written that shes a tailor, single parent, 1983. She told me over viber video call thru her Myanmar agent that she wants to learn English and asked me to be patient to her.
Many told me not to be so positive but i felt i should be sincere since we are gg to stay together and i m trusting my children to her.
First 3 days were not work related. I brought her to buy new clothes, bra n panties. Sanitary pads, new bed, new everything. We used google translator to communicate.
I trained her from scratch. She doesnt need to fetch kids and i did the full cooking for 4 mths. She was given money daily to buy lunch. 9.30pm sleep alone.
Her "don’t know", "i forget", "no, mam no say" were tolerated initially until her 5th mth.
By then she knows how to go market n cook simple food like fried egg n vege. She has no off days but she need not do housework on weekend. Just childcaring and she gets to nap with the kids.
From 5th mth onwards:
- she still doesnt speak in sentences. Only 1 worded.
- we need to remind her on daily basis if not she forget.
- theres this stubbornness and ego in her that even my no temper hub is annoyed
There are many incidents where i called for her when shes in the room with my 2 kids. My kids could hear me except her and she jus smiled.
6mth: she said her leg is pain. No fall, just walk n pain. I quickly sent her to tcm n dr told me that her body is v weak, waist weak, cant carry heavy stuff. Joints will hurt.
I still employ her and feed her well and making tonics.
7mth: nothing abv chg and even got worse. None of her chores were improving. Suddenly memory loss like that.
We taught her to buy rice cake 4 times over 2 weeks in thoughts that this could add in for my elder girl’s lunch menu. All ok until 3rd week i told her to buy rice cake for lunch for my girl, she looked like she havent seen that before. When i show her pic, she said she dunno thats rice cake. Now she know.
I got her to throw sharpener shavings away, she threw the whole sharpener into the chute. Instructions were very clear because i demo to her before n did it right before.
8mth: 2 weeks before loan paid in full. She suddenly say she dont want to wash hair because it made her headache. She has headache twice a week she said. I said if its showering hair, then she should be in pain everyday.
On the week when i paid her last loan, she said…
Mam, i want go doc injection.
I asked her what jab, she said her body weak and she had jabs 3 to 4 mthly to make heR body strong.
After checking with Myanmar agent, its b12 n glucoe3 injection and its taken by burmese to stay strong to work. After reading, its like a gush of sugar to make them energetic.
Like an addict, she kept crying that her body is weak. Instead of jab, we gave her similar vits. Shes angry because we didn’t give her jab. Just like an addict.
She finally told me she wants to go bk because i didnt bring her to the jab n she feels weak. Stomach pain, headache, pain.
Some Burmese helpers told me that its taken by burmese and many quit because they do not want to rely on it. -

RE: All About Infant Care
Hello all.. speaking of IFC, i give my 2 thumbs up for PCF Sparkletots at Hong Kah North Blk 345.. my bb is there and the teachers are doing a good job in teaching her and helping her during her care in the IFC.. sometimes.. i will spot check or ask to bring my bb home a lot earlier than scheduled to see if the teachers really follow time table or just anyhow scribble on the reports..
They make me feel at ease... now, my bb is 15 mths, and she alr learn to spoon feed herself.. im quite impressed by the teachers..
but for the playgroup and above.. hmmm.... i need to monitor further... -
