Agree that schools are not obliged to divulge info, but a little kindness to ease parents stress can’t hurt.


Having a whiteboard system to update figures surely beats having to answer the question repeatedly - anyone who wants to know the latest stats for that particular school can look themselves and staff can focus on registrations (or withdrawals).

Based on info posted earlier this morning, SCGS applications already exceeded vacancies. Was there a sudden rush of withdrawals? Or issit some applicants are PRs so SC still stand a good chance?

Looks like those aiming for either ACS living more than 2km away better head for back up school this afternoon.

Does anyone know what are the chances for SC> 2km for Haig Girls in phase 2CS?

It is better to register early - less stressful. Withdraw last minute only if you need to avoid a ballot.

Wow... if any new parent SC<1km comes in today / tomorrow to register which would result in balloting within 1km, then that would really frustrate (\"sabo\") the hell out of the 29 other parents to-date!

It is not a first come first serve system so cannot fault parents who register later lah - registering later is just a strategy to go for the school with the best odds.

Does anyone know for extra places from withdrawals in phase 2C - do these automatically get put back into the phase 2C pool or are they carried forward to phase 2Cs?

I think you may like to double check. Bendeemer Primary seems to be the only school within 1km of your address. Beyond that, Hong Wen and SAJS are the closest but just outside 1km for you. Am not sure how accurate OneMap is but I believe many pple use elite.com.sg instead.
