... Hi, may I check in Ximending, besides City Inn Plus, which would be the next better choice of hotels with family room (2 double beds)? Thanks.

There's Amba Taipei Ximending. Pictures very nice. It's quite new i think. Came up in last 2 years. But take note that it is located in the middle of XiMenDing, and pedestrian zone....so you have to push your luggage from cab.

I have also read of people suggesting Rainbow Hotel (XMD).

Disclaimer : i have not stayed in either of the above suggestions.

Hi, here's a compilation of some hotels that offer double beds/larger rooms in XMD. Compiled them when i did my online research sometime back. Have not stayed in any of the below cos in the end i chose to stay in another area. Hope this helps.

      The $38 includes photography.

      hi, i give ang pow.

And in occasional years, she ask for a day-off to go for outing with her friends, i let her.

And in addition, sometimes i will also buy a jar of hari raya cookies for her to eat, or she can share with her friends. Either that, we will bake pineapple tarts at home, and she will share with her friends.
Can rini or any kind soul here send me a copy of the contract in bahasa indonesia? My ex helper wants to come back to work for me. She's currently in indonesia and her ktkln card has expired.

Just a quick check, i gathered that the following documents are required when she renew her ktkln card. Am i right?

      1) IPA from MOM to employ another FDW (i have one currently but thinking of replacing her with my ex helper)
      2) Air ticket
      3) Employment contract in bahasa indonesia?

For air ticket, is a printout copy of the e-ticket good enough?

Do i buy the Security Desposit and medical insurance only after she has renew her ktkln card? How long will it take for her to renew the ktkln card?

Hope to hear from you all soon. Many grateful thanks in advance for your replies.

      Anyone can advise?

      Hi folks,

My ex-helper has confirmed that she will need a copy of the contract in bahasa indonesia inorder to renew her KTKLN card in indonesia. Does anyone has a copy and can send it to me?

      Many grateful thanks.
Hi, i think you may want to take a look at rini803 posts a few pages back about her experience with direct hire from Indonesia. Also see the below post from rini803 about contract below

      rini803:
For those interested, can email to me requesting for the contracts I used. I will email you the copy. My email is [email protected]

      Subject : Requesting FDW Contracts

Please at least inform me of your name n contact no just in case any matter arises. Thank you.

    • RE: Renewal of Indonesian Maid Work Permit

      hi, another question.

Since her passport expires July 2015, does it mean i should renew passport. Cos otherwise the WP wont be a full 2 years? (her WP expired Aug 2014).

Does the Indonesian Embassy do passport renewal so early (i.e. 1 year ahead of expiry) ?

      headache…

    • RE: Renewal of Indonesian Maid Work Permit

      hi,

My indon maid WP expires in Aug 2014.
      Her passport expires July 2015.

Can i just check - do i need to go embasssy to ‘renew’ contract’?
Or i just need to in July 2014, purchase maid insurance (with NTUC in my case), and then 2 days later access MOM website to renew WP? From the posts above, there’s an option to deliver WP to home address?

As for passport, i dont need to renew now right? Can wait till mid-2015? Cos I am not sure if renwal of WP is contingent on passport having a number of months of validity.

      Thanks for your advice !

      Hi,

Amba hotel in ximending is great too though slightly further from the train station. It's surrounded with lots of shops and a shopping centre below. We booked an extra large room and its really spacious for the kids to run about.

Hi, I checked on agoda, they don't have rooms for 4. Any idea if they allow 2a2c in one room?

Hi you can email them. I did that before n their reply was quite fast. But do check the location - taxis and cars can't drop you off at the building as it's flanked by shopping streets, cars are oout of bounds
