Personally feel Language paper is the hardest because there’s no really formulas or exact style of answering questions unlike Sciences and Maths

not recommended because HMTL O levels is similar to A levels MTL. It’s like repeating an exam paper u have just finished a year ago. Furthermore, you can spend more time on other weaker subjects instead of purely focusing on MTL.

The chapters tested in Sec 1 vary differently as compared to the chapters tested in upper secondary. Because of that, it is not necessary for having tuition in Sec 1. However, if a student tends to fail almost all subjects (preferably lets say more than 3-4), I recommend that tuition is required. This is to help the student to buck up. If the student shows signs of drastic improvement in those particular subjects, tuition can be forgo.

For Oral Exam,

1. calm down and don’t be nervous. A slight sense of anxiety can affect the way you speak
2. if you have read a word wrongly, it’s ok to re-read the word, however, it’s best to show no signs of difficulties during reading
3. the questions for conversation are related to the image / video. For example, if you see the theme as environment, the question that they will ask is definitely of such theme. Try to brainstorm ideas and current situations before the exam.

L1 - Language (English / Higher MT)

R1 - Combined Humanities (Elect Geog/Hist/Lit + Social Studies)
R2 - 1 math (Elementary / Add Math / POA)
R3 - 1 science (Chem / Bio / Physics)
R4 & R5 - any two relevant subjects (e.g: other sciences / MT / 3rd language...)

If L1 is English and not HMT, but students take HMT, the total L1R5 can deduct 2 points if students pass HMT. :rahrah:

indeed they are stressed out, but not to the extent that all students go mentally crazy and commit suicide
