Hi everyone! I have a CNY Eve Baby boy in 2013. He’s a smart boy but have a very shy character when he’s outside. However, he’s like a tyrant at home! Sometimes, I wonder if his shyness will hinder his confidence in the future, he tends to take awhile (1-2hrs) to warm up. This is only thing I am worried about right now, so far his development and progress are quite good. He speaks well and start recognizing words at 16 months.


@cpewx Your son is trying to get your attention. My kid somehow will behave similarly like insistence crying to get something. I came to realise that he behaves more like this when he’s with his grand parents and dad, when he is alone with me, he will not do that because my son knew that I will give a FIRM NO when it comes to thing I don’t like. Kids are very smart these days, they know who are the people to "bully". Haha

If your kid belongs to the more "stubborn" character, beating his pipi also won’t help. My son belongs to the type won’t even say SORRY when he’s wrong. He will only apologize when we try to speak to him again at night. They also tend to do more opposite things when you scold them. Sometimes, you try to ignore their whining and they will stop after awhile.

I agree repetition and reminding is the key to it… You will be surprised they actually "absorb" your nagging after awhile.
