For the list of CCA, you can refer to the school website. CCA will be on either Tuesday or Thursday.

Hi, their materials are much higher than school standard. Good if your dc is able to understand and diligent in doing the revision.

annalee, I was at HCL enquiring on the lesson and overheard a teacher asking if the mother can come earlier as her DC is able to learn the spelling better. I didn’t see such extra mile at Busy Bee.


The materials at Busy Bee are more advance and if the kids can cope will be good for their PSLE and early secondary days.

Thanks a lot for all the encouragements and help! My DC is currently in Busy Bee as couldn't get a place in Wang. She commented that those difficult words learnt are of no use and not related to what she is learning in school. I did break down the spelling into a few days but she rather spend her time on her favourite subjects and reading story books.

I have a friend whose 2 kids are in Busybees, she said their work is a tad harder than Wang. But if they start young in Busybees, they can score well. To me, besides the materials and methods, the teachers are very important as well. My kids are in HCL now but just want to gather more info now for future possible use, could I know how you find the teachers in Busy Bees?

I find the teachers hardly talk to the parents. The teacher don't follow behind the kids when they got out of their classroom, which part of the reasons are the kids completed their work at different timing. The parent have to find the teacher if have any questions or concerns.

How do you find the teachers at HCL?

Hello Mrs Ang, I'd think group tuition (under a strict tutor) works better for reluctant learners - they can't get away by throwing tantrums. Did you manage to get a place with WLC?
