Can anyone help to feedback which school is better? WG or SQ?

:? Hard to say as I heard that SQ is trying to compete with Rulang.
Thus, their standard can be compare with Rulang.

Hii Yippee..my boy in 1J, he can do the homework himself but I rather check it or sit with him to make sure he knows his work.

So far he hasnt complained ..he comes home straight after school.

My two daughers are P1 this year, one has more homework than the other, not sure about the reason, I guess that maybe they are set into different class.

Think this should be common. My son is in JYPS and he has less homework compare to another P1 gal staying in my block. This should be due to different teachers have different styles. However, for tests and Exams should be standard as they are set by the school.

Hi catddy2002,

My DS1 is Yr 2004 born so next year he will go to P!, I havent done the PV for West Grove but I stay within 1 km do you think I should be able to get in? Also my DS1 also like average student so I am worreid about the stress if he can take over there or no.. also heard they stream the students very early!! your feedback will be highly beneficial
Well, really depends on your luck. Last year, my son can't get in although we are staying within 1km. However, chances might increase compare to last yr as MOE gives priority to Singapore Citizen from this year onwards.
Do let us know if your son gets in due to this system. šŸ˜„

Any good feeback for Xingnan Primary?

Hope to have some feedback for Xingnan Primary?
We visited Xingnan Primary during their open house in 2009. Their focus on Chinese had strongly \"buy\" me over. I personally like Xingnan Chinese teacher in P5. Spoken to him on that day. U can read more about him in their website. The drawback for not having Xingnan as my 1st choice because it look like a \"old fashion\" to me when it state no ctr parting for boys hair.
As son wanted to go GW (his best friend in childcare ctr since N2 is in P1A for GW), so GW is our 1st choice. When we are unsucessful for the ballot in GW, Xingnan vacany is too little to take risk for P2C supp. We enrol to JYPS.
Personally, I still like Xingnan partly because of their focus in Chinese and that sir.

I'm also quite impressed by Xingnan as they are teaching qian ju we which kids will learn chinese words which they are supposed to learn from P1 to Sec 4. They really emphasis more on chinese. My son is in JYPS too. I don't like the system and his teachers. Kind of forgetful and not strict. Wanted to transfer him out but I don't know whether to choose XN or WG. WG is walking distance from my house. For XN, my boy got to take sch bus but I like their system. What do u or anyone suggest?
