Maid: My maid talked to me yesterday. She had a lot of guts to threaten me again and scolded me and insulted me. BUT for every insult, I came back with what truly happened. I guess those were my aces. And I have more in store. She was threatening me that she will go ti MOM and tell lies there so that a case will be opened. What she doesnt know is that I have already prepared for that because she had been telling the agency about her plans.

Later on, she agreed to go back to the Philippines if I give her pocket money plus monetary support every month until she gets a new job.

Agency: The maid wanted to lie about her son and husband from her country And the agency even went along with the lie. The agent in the agency told me that they cannot control what the maid wants to put in their bio data. Even if it is deviating from what the maid told them years ago. I found that quite unethical because putting false information on the maid’s biodata just to be able to sell her faster will jeopardize the safety of us employers and our families. Specially the ones with elderly and young children. I will never trust this agency ever again.

They even tried to get money from me too to arrange for sending the maid to the airport.


I feel like I was in a horror movie where the maid and the agency were the Tandem killers.

Anyway the maid should be in the plane now going back to the Philippines. I know that she will continue to bug me for money. I know also that she will try to come back here too. But I put a feedback at MOM and hopefully alerting all new employers about her.

PS. Avoid Dans Services. They were not professional and truthful and very unethical with the way they handled this problem. They were enabling my maid to lie in her biodata. Which is scary. I will never trust any info from a maid’s biodata from them. i have a copy of my maid’s biodata before and her biodata now. It’s scary to get false info specially from strangers that we ask to live with us and tale care of our family members. Just a WARNING.

Just to give you all an update.


Since I gave a feedback to MOM. The agency called me up and asked me what feedback I gave about her. I refused to say and told them that MOM told me that I will only talk to the employer. SO her new employer called me up.

She was actually willing to hire her despite her attitume towards me but what took her aback eas that when I accidentally told her about the maid’s family at back in her country.

Apparently, the agency told the employer that her husband works here in Singapore and that she does not have any child.

I was told by the agency that they asked her why she put that and she told the agency that her son died a long time ago before she came to Singapore.

On Monday I will be arranging for her repatriation.

I see my SIL treating her maid like one and the maid can even renew another 2 years...but when I treat my maids well, they make me very disheartened and I have to send them off after 8 months. Why? Don't these maids like to be treated well?

Which is my main problem I think. I do not know how to treat them badly. My thing is that they already have a hard life so I in return want to treat them fairly. But then it seems like when we have soft hearts for them, it is so easy for them to abuse us.

Thanks! I agree. It is indeed very difficult to get a new maid nowadays. Very difficult to trust. Now, I am scared to get one.

That is my philosophy also. My relatives have maids serving them for more than 30 years. I have had a maid take care of me since I was young until I was 13.

This maid is by far the worst that I have seen. My parents treat the maid the way I did. Our maid even eats with us when I was young. BUt the maids never became abusive like this one. She hurt my child as well. Our maids when I was young never laid a hand on us. Never scolded us too.

I wanted to send her back but she made threats to my mother that she will runaway if I do so. MOM informed me that I need to give reasonable notification if I am repatriating her. I don’t want to go against Singapore’s law.


I increased her salary because I had a new born baby. Her workload actually did increase (a bit). I did that to encourage her to work. Because I can see that she was starting to be lazy and at that time, I just gave birth that time and without any help from family, I needed her to be around. I thought, similar to us professionals, we want more salary if more work is passed to us. I was just. Thinking the same way.

But yes, I was wrong to give her the increment. Though, I am not spoiling market. Because basic salary for a fresh Fillipina FDW is S$500 by Philippine Law. Her asking salary for 5 years experience from the agency now is $550. And not 600.

But you know what, a rotten egg will continue being a rotten egg.

Also, I spoke to my husband and we agreed to terminate her work permit soon. But I need to speak with the agency on how to send her to the airport if I do that. Since she is back with them.
