MMM:not necessarily. there won't be as many snake and horse babies so i will expect the COPs for your kids to drop. COP is lowest score of all students who got admitted to the school through sec 1 posting, not minimum score needed to enter (although it is a good marker) and because of this year's high dragon population, naturally the competition and COP is higher. More top scorers. My advice is to average this and last year's COP for Miss Snake. If she can reach the 3pt-higher COP then great! But if she misses it by 1 or 2, should still be safe for her, though i wouldn't use that school as 1st choice.phtthp:it's more competitive these days !
best born in snake or tiger year.
:xedfingers: I've a Miss Snake and a Mr Horse... that are due for PSLE in the next 2 consecutive years.....
Looking at this year COP makes me  so Miss Snake must try to target 3 COP higher now just in case ????

RE: COP 2012 - For Secondary Schools in 2013
Hi everyone! I had my PSLE 2 years ago and just thought I'd clarify some stuff
#1: 3rd lang resultsBigbubbles:
For 3rd lang, you will receive results when reporting to your posted sec school tomorrow. Upon registration you will receive a package with further steps to register for your assigned 3rd lang. In my year, we had to report to our posted 3rd lang center (Newton/Bishan) seperately.Hi, did anyone receive the result regarding 3rd language?
#2 How long will reporting take?
It depends. I can't remember how long it took at my school. Usually they will brief on admin stuff, when orientation will be, talk about the syllabus and have Qna. After that, I believe there will be sale of school uniforms and required texts, and be warned: there will be a long queue.
#3: Cut-off point and appealing
If you're wondering why you or your child's score meets a school's COP, it's dragon year, and there will be more students scoring each score. Furthermore, we don't know the decimal places for our T-scores so you might have juuuuust missed.
I should point out that appealing will be tough this year because of the highere number of students per rounded T-score. Good luck if you are appealing! :rahrah:
#4: Higher chinese
Only SAP schools take count Higher chinese marks. Examples of SAP schools are HCI, NYGH, RV. I noticed quite a lot of people are asking about NJC. I'm an NJCian and no, we aren't SAP school, so the cop is 259 without hcl. I have heard of people trying to appeal on the basis of meeting or surpassing the cop if hcl is added though. I think it's worth a try
Hope this helps!
:congrats: to those who got schools of their choices!
