Newbie reporting here. I am mum to a 2.5 year boy. Looking forward to learn more about experienced mummies’ preschool experience as well as primary school enrollment.

My son is born in 2011. In which year do I need to register him for P1? Will I receive any enrollment package and guide from the government?

I am new to this forum. My son is 2.5 years and is currently in Eager Beaver Yishun. Initially we wanted to enroll him in a church managed preschool but was unable to find a suitable around Yishun area. We visited a few schools around here and eventually settled for EB@Yishun because we are pleased with the clean environment and the teachers are friendly.

Hello mummies! Newbie reporting here. My son was born in Dec 2011 and he is our only child. So we have no prior experience in terms of childcare or preschools.


We sent him to a Eager Beaver Yishun in March 2014. So far so good. His teachers are patient and caring. The childcare he is in offers extra courses that are chargeable. It is not mandatory to sign up and I wonder what happens to the children whose parents choose not to enroll in these extra programmes.

We are considering moving him to Carpe Diam at AMK but heard that the queue is very long. It is just a thought. He seems quite happy now so we might just let him stay through in EB@Yishun.
