Hi Kitty2011,Hi everyone,
I am looking for a yamaha teacher who can teach my girl music (beginner). My girl has started with JMC for two years and next year will be taking on JXC. Looking at weekend afternoon classes or Friday evening. Please pm me if you have any recommendation! Many thanks!!!
My dd is currently doing JXC1, just started her on home-based private piano lesson with a current Yamaha teacher, $180 per month, 45mins, follows Yamaha calendar....are you looking for home-based lesson? -

Hi,Hi, my girl got a place in 2a1 for next yr.. Hope to know more mummies n daddies and exchange tips n tots.
I read thru this thread realized kid need to wake up very early even distance is near sch.
For existing parents with kid taking sch bus, may I know if the sch bus charges are standard or depends on location and hows the safety precaution like? Is it 1 aunty helper only or more? Big coach bus or mini bus??
Thanks!
Comfort DelGro is using both the big coach and the mini bus...Bus charges depends on location, for someone staying near/along West Coast Road, 2-way trip cost abt $60-$80, pick up time at abt 6.25am-6.30am...If I'm not wrong, 1 aunty helper for the big coach only...My dd's classmate is taking the mini bus, no aunty helper... -
RE: All About Piano Lesson Costs
Hi jce,
Thanks for the info....Glad to know that's the norm!
thought that $180 per month is for teachers who are more qualified....so a teacher with Grade 8 also charge $180 for beginners?
Is it the norm to collect fees at the beginning of the month for home lessons? Heard there're teachers who \"disappear\" after 1-2 lessons..... Concern cos only know the teacher by Ms X, and only have her hp no  -
RE: All About Piano Lesson Costs
Hi,
I'm looking for a piano teacher for my 6 yrs old DD who is in JXC now.
Contacted a few current Yamaha piano teachers, they all quote $180 per month for Beginner/Grade 1, 45mins lesson and follows Yamaha school calender-so only 44 lessons per year.
 Didn't check abt their qualifications  Is the above rate reasonable for home based lessons? Anyone knows what's the min/usual qualifications for Yamaha teachers?
Thanks! -

According to the Handbook, school hours is 7.30am - 1.30pm but all pupils are to report to school by 7.15am....
Ya, 6hrs seems long.....single session so longer hours???. -
