Daily breakfast will be Milo and plain white bread.

Sometimes they will get pandan cake.

My child insisted to take his breakfast before going to agape

And they don't bother to read the communication book. If I wrote something there need to wait for a few days to get a reply. If they don't read it on daily basic what is the purpose of giving that book to us. Really so irresponsible. Thank god I withdrew my kid from that school.

Even emails will take days to reply from the Principal.
there are a few young principal who has not experience parenthood yet.
they may be academic qualified but....

Another thing, The centres and the management did not have proper Quarantine and safety measures or separate classrooms for those kids who are suspected to have come down with the HFMD and Chickenpox.

They also allows the students to go to school and mix around with the healthy kids, thus the HFMD and the chickenpox spreads fast.. Really Bad management and lousy centres.
The centre in Clementi was really bad. The incompetent Principle in Clementi lacks necessary ability or skills to run the place.
agreed with you ...1-2 years ago something happened at one of their branch( WILL NOT DISCLOSED). The whole class of N2 was down with chicken pot including one of the teacher.

      Wolfgirl:

There is an Agape near where I stay and the multi-storey carpark happens to lead to the entrance of Agape and thus I pass by it quite often.

I do not have a child attending there but I noticed, on two separate occasions, at around 4 pm (nap time for kids maybe) that one of their staff/teacher (wearing their uniformed polo tee) to be standing near a staircase landing smoking.

I should have taken a photo and showing it to the admin.
I guess most parents would not want someone reeking of cigarette smell to handle their kids.

OH gosh, I think that if the parents happens to see that teacher smoking outside would have Freak Out..

this childcare really have a lot of outstanding issues waiting to be resolved. The management better wake up else their enrolment are going to drop drastically

Do not enroll your kid in Agape. Talk is cheap. They will promise lots of things so that you will enrol your kid in their centre but they do not deliver the results despite that the school fees are expensive. Monthly: $1284 excluding some other items that you may have to purchase.

The principle and management are not good role models and there are lots of complaints by parents of this school and complaints of the principle as well. The teachers turn-over are high too.. Some teachers who left are those that are really good, qualified and have love and passion for the kids.
Standard has dropped badly and recently there are cases of HFMD..

Do look elsewhere and make a visit to the other schools.. EtonHouse, Cherie Hearts, First Skool etc..
I pity the children. Can you believed that they are served only with PLAIN WHITE BREAD and milo during teabreak. No Jam , cheese or peanuts butter :scared:

The principals are the scapegoat because the management(run by 2 couples) always ignored many of the bad incidents and complaints.

Talk is cheap as they will try to enrol more children for the centre.

By the way, the main objective of the centre is to generate growth of revenue & income while the others are secondary.
The management always like to rotate the teachers among the centres and reason can be down to poor performance and complaints of the teachers.

First Skool will be a better choice

    • RE: Maid grinds her teeth

      sparks:
My maid shares room with dd & ds. As my maid sleeps earlier than dd who's studying till midnight, dd's sleep is inevitably affected. It's loud as we can also hear it from outside the room with TV on.

I am exploring options like getting an OTC nightguard from amazon for her or allocate her to sleep in other room as a last resort. She told me that she actually thinking of going back philippines to pull out all her upper teeth! :faint: I told her not.

Is nightguard the best option? Anyone got any recommendations? TIA

      your maid is under stress

      zbear:
Is it worth going to the River Safari? I just checked the website n if I include everything in - it comes up to more than $200 for a family of 4.

I am having doubts about spending so much money on such an outing.

Come to think of it, its so expensive having a day out in our local attractions. I think its money better spent going on a holiday n visiting other countries attractions than ours.
agreed. visited the attraction last month and cover the park within 2 hours. unless you have free pass otherwise I would prefer the zoo

      cheers šŸ˜„
