All of us decide how much risk we're wiling to take at those popular schools and must be prepared that we either get balloted out or worse, no chance to even ballot. I got balloted out at maris stella under 2B, totally prepared that that is a possibility, though of course, when it happened, felt heart pain. Then move on to my backup plan, St Gabriel. Anyway, it's just primary school, the kids have a long way to go to develop themselves.

Official info from school admin just now - 46 balloting for 27 vacancies.

Just called the admin, yes, balloting required for > 2 km. They haven't finished tallying the number, said to call back tomorrow for the details.

Pei Chun will be a shoo-in, guaranteed place for boys and girls (if any). I would choose this if I were you.

For >2km, you may need to ballot at Maris Stella. The kid needs to be baptized, not just your hubby. The chances are quite good but there's still the element of chance.

If you are OK with going to St Gabriel's as a backup, then just go and try Maris Stella balloting (if any).

Called the school this morning and they said balloting only for those singaporeans staying above 2 km so my daughter will be attending this school in 2013. Yay!
