dorisp:MummyBaobao, you are serving and staying in GRC A but are keen to apply to a school in GRC B?MummyBaobao:Hi daddy2007, but it seems that this thread keeps emphasizing NC only where you serve, while CCMC is where serve and reside.
Is there a change? So what's correct?
Hi daddy2007, but it seems that this thread keeps emphasizing NC only where you serve, while CCMC is where serve and reside.
Is there a change? So what's correct?
daddy2007:You are rightMummyBaobao:it seems even EM of NC is entitled to P2B in the GRC that they serve AND reside.
Hi timtim, from here it seems even EM of NC is entitled to P2B in the GRC that they serve AND reside. please advise. Thanks alot!
timtim:Hi, the following is from PA to all GROs. We were told to look into the cases of members who are affected by the recent electoral boundary changes. So there is hope for those affected. Cheers!

Dear General Managers and Constituency Directors
1. The registration of children for admission to primary one classes in 2012 under the Ministry of Education (MOE) Primary One Registration Priority Scheme for Grassroots Leaders (GRLs)/District Councillors (DCs) will commence in May/June 2011. Only serving members of the CCC, CCMC, RC and NC, and DCs of the CDCs, who have at least one year of continuous service immediately prior to their application (i.e. those who were appointed on or before 30 June 2010) are eligible to apply.
2. CCC, CCMC, RC and NC members can register their children at schools situated within the GRC/SMC which they are serving and/or residing, while CDC DCs can register their children at schools situated within the GRC/SMC which they reside and at schools situated within the GRC/SMC of the Adviser who had recommended them for appointment into the CDC.
3. With the recent announcement of the new electoral boundaries, some Grassroots Advisers and GRLs who are eligible for the Scheme have raised concerns about the impact this would have on the MOE Primary One Registration Priority Scheme. MOE has also asked PA for a gauge on the number of GRLs/DCs who might be affected.
4. In order for PA and MOE to ascertain the number of GRLs/DCs who might be affected, we would appreciate it if you could quickly check with your eligible and interested GRLs (CCC, CCMC, RC and NC) and CDC DCs who have one year of continuous service, whether their residing and/or serving GRC/SMC are affected by the boundary change.
Does anyone know if the endorsement letter by CCMC/CCC is the same as that by RC/NC?
the former allows enrollment in schools in all GRCs but the latter is only for schools in that one GRc that you serve right?
Thanks alot OrangeBelt!
Do you know if volunteers to CDC can become executive members?
Sorry, 2 more questions:
1) if manage to be a CDC member, can enjoy P2B for all schools, or only those schools in the GRCs under that particular CDC?
2) can a CDC volunteer possibly become an executive member?
Thanks again
Hi, can somebody help me to clarify a few issues:
1) if I have a property rented out in GRC A but am currently staying GRC B, can I apply to serve in GRC A?
2) RC/NC members can enjoy P2B only in the GRC that they serve but CCMC/CDC/CCC members can enjoy for all GRCs?
3) YEC and WEC members can’t be recognized as executive member?
4) how can we get into CCMC/CDC/CCC?
5) the address that the endorsement letter shows, is it based on IC or any that we may fill in? N if change address along the way, will it shows the new address or the old one when first joined?
Thanks so much for helping!!
Hi anyone tried this? Looking at putting my 2 year old girl in a half day drop off program. Or any better to recommend?
