MUMMYOF3:I'm going on 7 to 15 Oct. I have never taken their KTX & Arex, but I believe there should be luggage compartment. I usually take their airport limo bus to our hotel as its more convenient no transfer needed so have not tried their Arex too. I only taken their ITX to chuncheon which I remember there's overhead storage. Thanks Mummychia !
I hv booked our ticket and will be travelling on 4 to 13 Dec.
Will be travelling straight to Busan when we touch down Incheon in the morning 7.30 am. May i know are there any luggage storage compartment in both their KTX n Arex train ?

MUMMYOF3:
I am also bringing my daughter after her psle. As its a chill-lax trip, we wont be doing much sightseeing since we have been there (Seoul) many times, so its just eat, shop & playHoi
Anyone tried travelling solo with kid ? Due to work committment, my hb is unable to take leave.
Am thinking bringing my youngest son to Korea right after his PSLE.
Am planning for fne 9days trip to busan n seoul. Any idea if it's easy to travel there ? Not indent to join group tour as we have joined few years back. Would prefer fne this time.
Hope someone can advice or if there's any itinerary to be shared would be great.
TIA !
Its very easy to travel around as their transport network is very comprehensive but really a lot of walking & climbing since most of their subway doesn't have escalators to street level. For busan, u can take KTX there, pretty straight forward. -

Iluvcruising2In the UK, we usually stay at this hotel chain called Premier Inn. Their typical room can be converted into a Family Room, which nicely sleeps 4. We have been to many Premier Inns all over the UK and it has worked out well. If you book early (via their website), it can be very reasonable.
Here are some examples:
Premier Inn Waterloo London,UK

Premier Inn Stirling, Scotland

At Premier Inn, their breakfast is up to 2 kids (aged 16 and below) eat free with every one paying adult. Wonderful for us.
Their breakfast offerings is very consistent throughout. Of course, don't expect Asian 5 star hotel buffet style breakfast. You are looking at traditional English breakfast, buffet style. You can eat as much as you like.

Enjoy your stay!
Which premier inn would u recommend for 1st timer to London? Or is airbnb a better option? -
RE: Travel : United States
One day should be enough to cover Legoland. I didn't managed to go though its part of the theme park package that I bought. We chose to shop at the factory outlets instead
Besides the zoo, we went to SeaWorld and USS midway. -

Ok! Thanks Floppy!
If you are a Singaporean, you don't need a visa to visit Zhuhai or Shenzhen if you intend to stay less than 15 days.mummychia:
I will be going this Nov to HK & Macau, will be staying in Royal Plaza too.
Thinking to do a day trip to Zhuhai from Macau or Shenzhen from HK. Anyone been to both? Do we need a visa?
I've used the bus option, the train (MTR) option as well as the ferry option to get to Shenzhen from HKG. It is fairly straightforward, and you can use any method, depending on where you want to go, how much time you have and how much you want to spend. -

Hi applecrumble
I had the same issue with my DS when he was in lower primary. I decided to sign him up for creative writing class at the start of P4 and he improved tremendously as he was taught systematically the structure to write a composition (something that his school English teacher was unable to impart to him). After 1 year, he was one of the better writers in his class (as confirmed by his English teacher). His confidence in compo writing grew by leaps and bounds, thanks to his dedicated creative writing teacher. Now my DS is in secondary school, the compo writing/thinking skills learned are still very useful for his English subject.nicnac:
Hi,
Anyone here send your kids to writing class? Any recommendations?
I think my DD needs help in writing. She needs to learn to write a decent compo.
TIA!
If you are keen, pm me and I will share with you the contact.
Hv pm u for the contact. Thanks for sharing! -

something like that, adjust accordingly based on temp and windiristay:
1st layer thermal meaning those wool material?
so 1st layer - wool thermal
2nd layer - uniqlo extra warm heat tech
3rd layer - fleece jacket? or a normal long sleeve cotton tee
4th layer - down jacket
bottom wise, also need wool thermal as 1st layer? I am thinking 1 layer of uniqlo extra warm heat tech and those winter pants.
Basically , below -10C ( we wear above 4 layers) when dd was younger, she wore a cloth face mask ( can get fr korea, cartoon ones, v cute- i bought fr Everland, there are different sizes so take note)
U can be surprised Seoul wind is quite \"cutting\" n harsh , can be as cold as outer city
If you have alot of time to shop in Seoul, u can buy extra clothings there. But the uniqlo in seoul is not cheap ! due to exchg rate, can be more ex than Singapore uniqlo.
As for china online winter clothings, u will only know whether it work to keep warm when u are in korea - usually on line site are those thick fleece ( make u look like dumpling, fleece is v cheap-synthetic product ) for down jacket when it states \"down jacket\" it is always a question of how many percentage of down feathers in the jacket ,in my mind - i can't verify lei ( soft n light does not mean gd materials during cold winter). Also For wool ( there are a lot of grades - on line can be \"imitation \" wool products) - thats why Merino wool is still so Ex , there is a reason to it.
Personally , i will a buy a good set fr singapore and add on with cheaper versions along the way - more guarantee IMHO -it is no joke to be cold -hands and feet will feel the pain . The on line China down jacket i bought, only can withstand abt 10C .- just ok for Tokyo Dec. ( at times, I got to wear Heat tech inside too due to chilly wind)
Enjoy winter Holidays
I agree with MyPillow!

Wah top 4 layers, bottom how many layers, is two layers enough? So many things to pack, still need to pack milk powder and diapers...no luggage space le, can forget about shopping...
For bottom my kids also wear 2 layers, thermal pants and fleeced line pants. Winter is like that lah everything so bulky, vacuum pack should be ok. Have a wonderful winter holiday
My kids use cetaphil moisturizer and Vaseline lip balm. Your heat tech is for 1st layer as in thermal? If so personally I don't think its warm enough. For all my previous trips, 1st layer is thermal, 2nd layer heat tech followed by sweater then jacket. For footwear, if u are going to ski resort, its better to get a waterproof one. Anyway if u have time to shop, u can also get from Korea that's what I normally do. U can go to their shoe market in dongdaemun or lottemart.mummychia:
can share which brand of lip balm and moisturiser for kids?
I have bought 2 sets of extra warm heat tech from uniqlo over the weekend... have also ordered 1 down winter jacket each from TB to see the quality.
what about footwear? need to wear winter boots?
