To me since Mandarin is not used at home, it will be good if I could force myself to converse or communicate more to her and read more Chinese stories togather. By mid of next year if she can’t cope then engage a tuitor or attend enrichment class will need to be considered.

Hurray ! Managed to obtain a place in HMT class. Thanks to my girl's MT teacher, form teacher and MT HOD that granted the exception. :celebrate:

I can't believe it too. My girl didn't submit the form on 12th Nov and on 15th Nov her MT teacher asked her for the form but she didnt have it with her as she was told to bring small bag on Prize giving day. On the 16th Nov, she couldn't find the MT teacher as it was the day where children visit the holding site. On 16th itself I sms her form teacher, requested her to pick the form from my girl but she checked her email only after children has gone home..... so at the end, i only managed to submit the form to the general office on 18th Nov morning.

And this is what i was told..... \"Get the child to do better next year and still opt for HMT in P3'. Her form teacher tried to talk to the MT HOD but ..... no exception can be given.

I emailed to my girl's MT teacher last night, yet to receive any feedback from her....

You are right, Talk to them face to face but everyone is busy shifting to new holding site .. can't find anyone...... :stupid: May be i should email to the HOD or Principle directly ...

I am very upset today. My \"Sotong\" girl DIDN'T submit the HMT form by 12th Nov hence she is not able to opt for HMT. I talked to the form teacher she tried her best to talk to the HOD of MT but .......

Wow, this MT is really complex hor ? All P1 offerred HMT or only those coped well ? My friend’s kid didn’t do very well 63/100 was also offered HMT.

Met my girl’s MT teacher to discuss this as I have the same concern. She suggested to have my girl try for a year since she is currently coping well. May opt out by end of P2 if she is not comfortable with it. Heard that there will be 3 classes for HMT. Anyway for me, decided to opt in for HMT.
