    • RE: Crescent Girls' School

I really am quite annoyed by the flatulent use of acronyms or abbreviations. My daughter came back after orientation and fired across a host of TLAs (Three Letters Acronyms) = just for the sake of it… which I went WTH. What’s alarming is, this seems habitual amongst the pupils and native to schools in Singapore where it’s customary acceptable for school curriculum. I forbids her or son from using them at home. And I hope we can shake this off… Sigh

To honeydew:242. She did belt a few lines. Relief? We’re OK with fmss actually. It’s more her choice anyway. And told her to give fmss a shot. She’s been to ONE open house which is CGS, and she’s resolute. I’d say we just stand behind whatever they do and trust them with it…

Why so passive huh ? No venture no gain

It is right, they don't entertain at all. The most they say wait for our call till 5pm. If there is no call means not successful.[/quote]You know what? When you call them up enough, and they happen to have 1 slot, and you really did remind them you wanted it bad enough, guess whom they'll call?

I'll do it regardless. Don't cost me a cent. Good luck and stay positive...

      Anyone hear from Fmss yet?

My daughter is only processing out of school from fmss tomorrow. Which is the case for many other kid whose possibly got their replies today, like ourselves. My opinion is to be a little patient, and they will come back to you. Good luck!

Any sucessful appeal to crescent? ...

Yes we did. Took a call late morning. Processing the transfer tomorrow. CGS told us won't leaving it too late to prep the student. I'll answer the rest of unasked questions. She's missed cop by 1point and is posted to fmss. And she appeals with graded singing creds from ABRSM and London school of music and plays the piano and guitar.

To honey dew: I missed an important point. CGS had a lot of transfer out request too. They are only processing the obvious or easy cases. So don't fret. It will come... And good luck!
