Hi had a question
Have gotten through to SHPS, but understand that it is relocating to Bedok from next year for 2 years. Is it ok to relocate closer to the interim address of the school (i.e., Bedok/Tanamera) so as to reduce travel time for my kid? It will mean shifting and a lot of hassle, but was thinking that if it reduces the travel time for my kid then it may be worth the effort. 2 years is a long time
Also, MOE has the expectation for the kid to stay in the same address for primary school. I believe the primary purpose is to ensure the kid stays close to school, but if the school itself is moving, then is it a consideration? Anybody done this before? any advise?

Thanks. Would appreciate if you can also advise on mother tongue. As far as I see. most schools offer Mandarin, Malay and Tamil.
I am from North Indian descent and my mother-tongue is Hindi. Can I register my son into the local schools and yet get his mothertongue classes to stay as Hindi (say with another institution)?
What do I have to do during the registration process if this is possible? -
RE: All About Parent Volunteers (PV)
Hi
I have been reading all the discussion, and frankly getting very nervous about this whole process. I am a citizen (naturalised) and so is my son.
I stay at Kembangan (416826), and am not sure what are the good primary schools around? Any advise? Do these schools need PV or still have chance in phase 2C
Also open to moving to another location, but again, new to Singapore so not sure which school to target for. Also have a younger daughter, so want to get my son into a co-ed so that next time can go for phase 1
Appreciate any advice.
Regards
